I applied through college or university – interviewed at Imperial Oil.

    Interview Details

Basic behavioural interview questions asked (conflict etc.) using the STAR approach. Looking for company culture fit, academic background, and extra-curricular experiences. Took approximately 45 minutes of Q & A. The interviewer was very patient and attentive. No technical questions were asked. The interviewer was an experienced engineer on the team I was working with. I was very excited to work for the company after hearing more from the interviewer.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Imperial Oil.

    Interview Details

I received an email for an interview about 3-4 weeks after applying to the position online.

The interview was 1:1 located at my University campus and lasted for about an hour. The questions were all behavioural. The interviewer was an employee working at a different project. However, he was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I had a great time in this interview as the interviewer was very friendly and easy going. Right away he set a relaxed atmosphere.

I have only positive things to say in my interview experience.

Purely behavioral and situational questions. Nothing too difficult and rather standard questions such as tell us about an experience where you showed initiative. The interviewer did not have much knowledge about the position being applied for and the salary could not be discussed either.

    Interview Details

The interview was mainly behavioural based. You have to give examples of the situation, how you solved it and the outcome. They also have questions about your past experience. They are not a lot of questions. I think there were at most 10-12 questions.
