    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Imperial Oil.

    Interview

Approximately 5 behavioural questions. The HR representative was very friendly and conversational. Began with the basic tell me about yourself, behavioural questions, and what differentiates yourself from the other candidates. Best word of advise would be to be "natural" and engage the recruiter in both job specific and non job specific conversations as they are looking for those soft skills.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Imperial Oil.

    Interview

I had very positive experience with my interviews. 2 steps process (3 steps if you count online application): 1st - 1 hr interview in a local office, 2nd - 2 interviews 1 hr each in Calgary office. I had all interviews with senior managers, who were very respectful and I'd even say supportive. in the beginning they clarified my resume, asked a few questions (it's a great moment to tell a nice story about yourself) and then continued with their typical interview (CAR or start model) explaining me beforehand how they would expect me to structure my answers. I'd say easy or hard questions depends on individual experience. I wasn't happy to repeat the same story, but other people might have more experience in this particular area (for example, sales), so they might even consider these questions easy. Everyone in the office tried to make us feel comfortable.

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Imperial Oil.

    Interview

Had in-person interview on campus in October. One-on-one with a senior engineer (not HR). Very friendly, typical behaviour based questions. Discussed which positions he thought I would fit in best based on my interview and discipline. Didn't hear back until mid-December for a 2nd interview. I was flown in from my hometown to the job location and spent ~ 3 hours for more behaviour-based questions. Got a call the next day I got the job!

    Interview

I received an email for an interview about 3-4 weeks after applying to the position online. The interview was 1:1 located at my University campus and lasted for about an hour. The questions were all behavioural. The interviewer was an employee working at a different project. However, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time in this interview as the interviewer was very friendly and easy going. Right away he set a relaxed atmosphere. I have only positive things to say in my interview experience.
