Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Insight Global.
Interview Details – Two interviews. First one at the office. Second time I was taken out to lunch with the hiring managers. Met lots of Account Managers. Everyone was really nice and friendly.
Interview Question – No difficult questions. They wanted you to be the one asking the questions Answer Question
Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Insight Global.
Interview Details – A phone interview with a corporate recruiter, and then they invite you for a face to face interview with a Sales Manager of the office, which can take some time. From there they will invite you to a third and final interview which is to lunch, you should hear back very quickly whether or not they would like to move forward.
Interview Question – Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now both personally and professionally Answer Question
Recruiting Client Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Insight Global in July 2014.
Interview Details – First contacted through a phone call and was helped in going over a position they found suitable for me. Throughout many phone calls and an eventual in-person interview with the recruiter, they helped me in finding a position that utilized my skill set. The recruiters worked very hard to not only help you get as much information on the position and get you in the door, but also to feel like a friend to them and not just another client.
Technical Recruiter Interview (Neutral Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Insight Global in September 2013.
Interview Details – The team will lead you on like you are the greatest thing to touch the face of the planet. You will waste your time interviewing for a position that has as much if not more turnover than any other position hiring. They are looking for Greek affiliated students from the area they are recruiting for because they know that they are personable and know a lot of people from the area they grew up in. It is a competitive job, and money can be made. Just be aware that you should not put all your eggs in this basket.
Interview Question – How you are going to be successful in the industry.... Nobody knows anything about Technical Recruiting, so don't BS yourself. Answer Question
Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Insight Global.
Interview Details – The process was great. A couple friends of mine were hired for the recruiter position at Insight Global and recommended me to their corporate recruiter. The recruiter called me right away and set up a face to face interview. The interview was very relaxed and I met with 4 different people. They always asked me the same question in the beginning "Tell me about yourself" and then from there it was very conversational. You have to make sure you ask a lot of questions and really sell yourself!
Interview Question – Tell me about yourself...this is not as easy as it seems. You really need to have a good interesting answer and convince them why they should want to hire you. Answer Question
Professional Recruiter Interview (Negative Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Insight Global in May 2014.
Interview Details – First was contacted by an extremely nice woman working in another office, who spoke to me and explained the position to me. We had an informal interview and she quickly set me up to meet with the Boston office. However, my experience there was quite opposite to the one I had with the original phone interviewer. I came in and was left in a conference room for about 20 minutes past the interview time, at which point a sales manager sauntered in. He was extremely rude, extremely disinterested, and extremely unpleasant. I was immediately turned off by his foul attitude and lack of interview etiquette. I was supposed to meet with two people, but only met with this one horrid man. He barely asked me questions and did not engage with anything I was saying. Based on the fact that this guy had a leadership role in the office, I knew immediately that I would never want to work there, and was utterly relieved when I could walk out the door. I did not follow up with anyone in the office, because I had no interest in moving forward.
Interview Question – Very basic questions. Answer Question
Recruiter Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Insight Global.
Interview Details – phone interview then if the recruiter likes you they will set up where you go into the nearest office for a face to face interview. Face to face you meet with about 3 different account managers and it is very easy, it all has to do with how you can have a conversation with someone. If they like you then, then they will invite you to meet with a sales manager in a social setting. BUT THEY WILL ONLY HIRE PEOPLE THAT ARE VERY GOOD LOOKING.
Interview Question – Its all About how good you are having a conversation Answer Question
IT Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Insight Global in March 2014.
Interview Details – Recruiters come to college campuses looking to sign as many people up for interviews as they can. They call the next day, and schedule an interview for the same week. The response time after the interview was only a day or two.
Interview Question – The interview was really relaxed and mostly just used to assess how well you interact with people (in order to see how successful you're going to be making cold calls and bringing more people in as a recruiter). Answer Question
Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Insight Global in April 2014.
Interview Details – All employees treated me with respect and were nice. The person I was interviewed by kept flashing out how much he made. The first time this happened, I appreciated his honesty, pride, and I was impressed, however, the second, third, fourth, and fifth time, it became a little obnoxious. That being said, he took the time to fully explore my resume and was conversational so that I felt comfortable in the interview.
Interview Question – All questions were expected. Why would you thrive in sales? Answer Question
Recruiter Interview (Positive Experience)
The process took 1 week - interviewed at Insight Global in June 2014.
Interview Details – Such a great interview process! Myou corporate recruiter, Marliena painted such a great picture of the job and interview process and she was exactly right! First interview, I met with four people and they were all very down to earth, work hard play hard style. No tricks and just time to get to know the candidate. Talked a lot about myself and led the conversation. They enjoy seeing that you can start and hold a conversation in a casual or formal situation. Second interview was a lunch interview. New for me, but great! Again, such down to earth people looking for someone who can relate to them, their team, and their clients. This part seemed to be more of a meet a friend type meeting or almost a blind date! Such an enjoyable process. Now fingers crossed for the hire!! I should hear back soon!
Interview Question – Sales can be mentally tough sometimes, if you are critical of yourself, do you think you might get discouraged after a rough week? View Answer
