    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Intuit (Waltham, MA) in June 2012.

    Interview

Intuit QuickBase uses the STAR method of behavioral interviewing (Situation, Task, Action, Result), which I found to be tedious and confusing. The interview was scheduled for a half a day because you interview with several people at once. I met with 5 people at different levels of the organization (director, manager and colleagues). 2 of the interview sessions were over the phone, which was awkward since I was sitting in the conference room by myself.

    Interview Questions

    • For the most part, the questions were pretty standard - name a time where you were faced with a difficult decision, name one of your biggest work accomplishments to date, etc. The difficult part of the interview was answering the questions in the STAR format.   Answer Question
