No Offer – Interviewed in Boston, MA May 2011 – Reviewed May 13, 2013 New
Interview Details – I was referred in by an existing external wholesaler, even though they were looking for someone with 3 years experience and all their liscenses (right out of college I had neither). I had a very basic phone interview and was asked to come in for a half day interview. Met with sales managers & current internals. Wasn't my best interview and never got a call back even after I followed up with them.
Interview Question – What is your favorite fund of ours, why you are excited about it, and role play selling it to us Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in San Mateo, CA Jan 2013 – Reviewed Feb 23, 2013
Interview Details –
Met with Sr. Advisor....Interview was very thorough in that they scrutinized every aspect of your resume (as most companies do).
Interview process pretty standard.
Pay is very low.... until you take the Series which you would take in 6 months to 1 year and then you can get an increase. If you live in an area with a high cost of living, this is a hard job to take, because the pay is entry level comparable to the 90s.

Interview Details –
Interview process requires HR phone screening and multiple on-site interviews. The process can take several weeks.
Be sure to stay in touch, particularly if you have concurrent interviews elsewhere or pending offers. For one position, HR was tardy in confirming the HR phone screening they had set up for me; when I called to confirm the interview they told me they had already hired someone (even though I never had the chance to interview). For another position, I went in for an interview and was told I would be brought in for another round. When I contacted them (because I had other offers), I was told they had already hired someone and just never told me. So make sure to be in touch so you don't lose out on another opportunity, since they tend to be bad on their end with communicating to candidates.

Interview Details – This has to be the most unprofessional HR Department that I have ever encountered. I had a telephone screen, then I was brought in for a first round interview with 3 people. Following that I was brought in for a second round interview with 3 senior employees- VPs, Director, etc.. I was told that I would hear something within that week and no one ever responded to say that they went with another candidate. I even sent a follow up email to someone in HR to comfirm that they went with another candidate and never received a response. If this is how they treat their serious candidates, how must they treat their employees??? As unprofessional as it gets!
Interview Question – If I were to give you a project that you had no idea about and didn't understand even what direction to take next, what would you do? Where do you see yourself in five years? Why do you want to work here? Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in Warwick, RI Apr 2012 – Reviewed Apr 26, 2012
Interview Details – Was called for an interview and decided to take it even though I was not thrilled about doing sales. Interview was relaxed and informative, with back and forth questions. Worried mostly about personality. Afterwards felt like the opportunity was a lot more promising than i initially intended
Interview Question – How well will do you work with potential clients? Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in Boston, MA Nov 2011 – Reviewed Jan 11, 2012
Interview Details – Interview process was very different from what I had experienced previously. In the first round, I met with 5 directors in a 1.5 hour interview, where all of them sat and asked me questions altogether. Then for the second round, I met 5 analyst (junior folks!) for a 1.5 hour interview (same format). The interview questions were mostly behavioral (some were technical). Interviewers were very pleasant and patient and gave me a good overview of the company and the job.

Interview Details – Phone interview, followed by 3 separate onsite visits including meetings with direct manager, a senior manager, 2 peripheral people[, then with 3 potential coworkers. Went really well until final interview. It was clear that one of the coworkers had a hidden agenda. The questions from that individual were geared toward the negative. After the many hours I spent interviewing, I did not hear back from HR. I finally called them after 2 weeks and was told they hired internally. The reason given was that I did not have specific experience in one area that NEVER CAME UP and was not included in the job description. I felt the HR person was embarrassed when he told me about the decision. I was very disappointed and felt that if the plan was to hire internally, it should have been made clear to me. Given the number of people I spoke with, I really should have received better feedback and a more immediate response to my application.
