    Senior Facilities Manager Interview

I talked with the recruiter over the phone and was called in for an interview a week later. I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my life. It was at the AAA office in Long Beach. The guy I interviewed with was the rudest person you could meet. Through entire interview he asked questions while looking at and typing on his computer. He told me he had to type my answers. It was akin to talking to a wall. He never once looked at me.

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Jones Lang LaSalle in February 2015.

    Interview Details

The interview process was fairly standard. They asked about my resume, what I knew about the company, why I wanted the job, etc... It turned out the hiring agent thought I was better suited for another position and suggested that she would forward my resume to those in charge of that department.

It took about 35 mins with the 3 of professional project managers at Amgen (Thousand Oaks). They were really friendly and the questions that they asked were mostly about my experience and what I have done in my previous job. They also asked about the process of handling a project with high priorities.

The ad said that the above position would be in Walnut Creek/Sacramento, I assumed that maybe there were two positions. I live in SF and was going to ask about the Walnut Creek position.

The first interview was a phone interview. The HR employee who was to interview me, rescheduled 3 times. Twice at the last minute. When this person did finally maintain the appointment, the call was 20 minutes late (for a 30 minute interview) with no explanation.

The interview began with the usual questions, and about 10 mins in, the interviewer asked me if I was willing to travel to Sacramento a few days a week. I said no, sorry, Walnut Creek was the furthest I was willing to travel, at which the interviewer said that he/she "thought so".

I was frustrated that this wasn't a question posed in, perhaps, the very first email, rather than wasting both of our time.

The interviewer seemed like a nice enough person, but it was a very frustrating experience.

    Brokerage Assistant Interview

interviewed at Jones Lang LaSalle in November 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online in early November 2014. Within a couple of days I received a call from a recruiter who went through the basic questions of my resume, why did you leave your last company, what type of salary are you looking for etc. When the initial telephone interview was complete, she schedule a time frame to which HR would contact me to go through a few more details about the position at hand. When I spoke to HR, we set up a date and time for an onsite interview with a group of brokers, managers, marketing and few other superiors. The 2 hour interview, I thought personally went well. Everything they needed in the next Broker Assistant position was everything that I possessed in my background. After the interview I went home and wrote out a variety of thank you emails addressing each individual that I interviewed with... 8 total. Each week that has passed I sent over an additional email to HR indicating how enthused I was with the opportunity to interview and potentially becoming their next Broker Assistant. It's been over a month now and I have not received any feedback whats so ever. It is very discouraging not knowing whether or not you made the cut. And I wish, companies would at least send out an email indicating their acceptance or not of a candidate.

Had my first phone interview, lasted only 20 minutes and would've been shorter if I didn't start asking questions. Interviewer seemed in a rush like she wanted to end the call before it even began.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Jones Lang LaSalle in September 2014.

    Interview Details

Initial contact via email from hiring manager in response to online application for position posted on JLL career website. Second contact via brief telephone screening type discussion in which position and client were described in more detail to gauge my interest. Appointment made for more in-depth phone interview. Subsequent emails describing the real time evolution of the position led to an in person interview with hiring manager and team lead. During the interview process, it became apparent that more travel than initially anticipated would be required, making the position a poor fit for me.
