The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at KPMG US in July 2010.

    Interview Details

I got an email from a recruiter at KPMG stating that my email had been passe don to her and that she was interested in speaking to me. I tried several times to reach her. Emailed her twice and after about 2 phone calls, she called me back, stating there was a mix-up etc. I had a 15 minutes interview with her over the phone more like a screening interview. She stated KPMG was hiring like crazy and that I would be a great fit for wither the growing Insurance group in NEW York ( as I had an insurance background) or the financial services group. It then took several emails and then 2 more phone calls to hear back from her. She now stated that the holidays ( July 4th led to some mix-up) and set up an interview with a manager from the insurance consulting group in New York.

My 2nd interview lasted 30mins. Manager detailed the responsibilities of the role ( it involves a lot of traveling to the sites of different clients). We walked through my resume abit, but during the course of the interview I could sense that he had decided I was not a good fit for his team. I received an email from the recruiter (who asked me for feedback after the interview) stating that they were pursuing other candidates that they felt were a better match.

Overall, they process seemed like they were all over the place - not very organized Recruiter was always apologizing profusely. But they were polite and professional. You have to be proactive though if you don't hear back from the recruiter after say a week or so. Contact them via email or phone.

The wait for the phone interview was the most difficult part. Once, you got a chance to talk to them, everything moved a lot more smoothly.

Very Easy Work Culture. Several bosses to report to. Great freedom. No overtime required. Not a lot of work. People were easy to get along with and quite helpful. There was only one interview, and a couple tests. I was referred to be an employee, I contacted them. an interview was scheduled. I di it and was hired a few days later. It was quite easy.

    Negotiation Details
Non Negotiable. I was made an offer. I accepted. It was really based on your previous salary and your experience. The more you bring to the table and the more you sell yourself will result of course in a higher offer.
