Food Regulation/Nutrition Specialist Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain.
Interview Details – I applied online and received an email from a recruiter about one month after I initially applied. I responded, via email, to the recruiter and an initial phone interview was set up that same week. About two days after the first phone interview the recruiter set me up with a phone interview with the director. One week after the phone interview with the director I was told they would fly me out to Vermont for an in person interview. After about three weeks I was flown to Vermont and interviewed. The interview was only a couple of hours long, met with multiple people. Questions were more about personality, cultural fit. Nothing like the typical (tell me about a time.... time questions). Would have been a terrific place to work but I was not awarded the position.
Interview Question – Where do you feel you fit on the Meyers Briggs scale? Answer Question
Senior Manager Talent Acquisition Interview (Negative Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied through a staffing agency and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in October 2013.
Interview Details – Horrible candidate experience. I spent over 7 hours with in-person interviews, and met 9 different people, including the Sr Director and VP of talent Acquisition I did not get any feedback from anyone. No one! I sent separate "thank you's" to each interviewer and still no feedback. During the interview process , it was mentioned they want to improve the candidate experience. Well, guess what? Common courtesy and feedback is key!
QA Specialist Interview (Negative Experience)
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain.
Interview Details – I never even got to an interview. I've applied for 4 positions in the last six months. Each time, I get an email 1-2 months later informing me "...we are going no further with your application."

Very Difficult Interview
Sales/Marketing Interview (Neutral Experience; Very Difficult Interview)
I applied online - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in June 2012.
Interview Details – Panel interview - lots of random questions from everyone. They seem lost in data and analysis and forgot they sold coffee and convenience. Seems more like a tech company than a consumer product co.
Interview Question – They were all detailed. No fluff. Answer Question
Very Easy Interview
Senior Buyer Interview (Negative Experience; Very Easy Interview)
I applied through a recruiter - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in May 2013.
Interview Details – I went through 3 rounds of interviews and received positive feedback after each interview. They expressed a sincere interest and said it would take a few weeks. I reached out several times and never received a response. I was disappointed because during the interview process, I was very impressed with the people and the culture.
Interview Question – The questions were very basic during the interview. Their focus is more on cultural fit which was impressive. Answer Question
Marketing Associate Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
The process took a day - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in January 2012.
Interview Details – The process was casual. There was a 1 on 1 interview and the interviewer did a lot of the talking. He explained his role and then we walked through my resume. I asked some questions and that was it.
Interview Question – Walk me through your resume. Answer Question
Associate Brand Manager Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
The process took a day - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in November 2011.
Interview Details – 30 minute phone interview by HR recruiter following employee referral. Scripted questions with little attention to my actual experience, particularly since I had a somewhat "non-traditional" background. At least did not have 3+ years of Marketing experience to talk about. After the interview I followed up 3 times in 2 months with the recruiter but was told each time that the group that made the decisions was "traveling a lot". It would be my guess that this company is experience some growing pains with the recent growth and reorganization of their marketing group
Interview Question – What is your favorite/least favorite current marketing strategy Answer Question
Multi-Site Quality Intern Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in March 2012.
Interview Details – HR representative called saying she had received my resume (online) and wanted to set up an interview. Very polite and very quick to respond to emails. Both HR representatives I was in contact with during the interview process were very polite and prompt with responses.
Phone interview was pleasant with a Quality manager, positive experience. Questions about resume and went over skills, schoolwork, research, etc.
Phone call a week later for second round interview (video conference). Had to send a one page operating procedure on how to make coffee. Had audio conference using web-ex system. Was kind of confusing and consisted of first interviewer and her manager, who was a bit intimidating. Second interview was mostly neutral. Questions about research, elaboration on the position's tasks, questions about how I would improve upon something related to position.
Interview Question – Task was to measure pressure in machine to make the coffee. Asked about how they could improve on current methods for checking the pressure. Whether they should invest in a machine to do more accurate testing, continue what they have been doing, etc. Answer Question
Human Resources Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in October 2011.
Interview Details – Very lengthy - interview mutliple times with many different people/titles. Most via video conference, which was very uncomfortable considering they could see me but they did not let me see them. Overall they were very professional and seemed to be very happy in their jobs.
Interview Question – It was standard targeted selection. Answer Question
Human Resources Interview (Negative Experience; Easy Interview)
The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Keurig Green Mountain in February 2012.
Interview Details – After interviewing over webcam and phone with 4 members of the senior leadership team for a Director level role, it was 'crickets' from anyone at the company for over a week. Only after sending a follow up email did I finally hear from them. They called to say I was not right for the roll, but then proceeded to offer me a role at an associate level, something I have not heard for 10 years...insulting!! The economy might not be good, but don't insult professional people!! Glad to not be working with people who treat candidates that way.
