Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Houston, TX Aug 2009 – Reviewed May 3, 2010
Interview Details – I interviewed first 1:1 with the person that would be my manager. He was very laid back, but serious at the same time. He seemed to be more of a people than skills person, looking for someone to fit the culture. The interview questions were standard with the exception of one, "Rock or Rap?" meant to throw me off. He said I would have to interview again with corporate over the phone. This process took more than two weeks. Finally, I was approved by corporate and offered a position.
Interview Question – Rock or rap? View Answer
Negotiation Details – I had another job offer pending for more per hour than this job. I told KCI flat out that it would take x amount to get me to join the team. They complied. Be straight forward with exact, realistic numbers.
