I applied online – interviewed at L-3 Communications.

    Interview Details

Was a very long process. Took over a month before I was contacted. The first phone call was very general, just double checking some of the information on my resume and a few questions about my previous experience. It then took another two weeks before they had a time to interview me. Interview was in front of 3 people and fairly basic. It really was more of a conversation. I felt very good about the interview, but wasn't given an offer.

    Talented Employee Interview

Upper management was more concerned about their bonuses then their employees. Employees were laid-off if you had more than 10 years of seniority and based on their race and sex. Some employees with over 25 years of service were laid-off prior to the age of 55 so the company would pay little or no retirement including health benefits. Upper management was more concerned with hopping in the sack to climb the corporate ladder then evaluating their employees. You would have a better chance working for Donald Trump.

    Interview Details

First called for phone interview. Very easy to speak with the team. Asked standard interview questions and genuinely cared about me as a person. Next, I was called into a group interview. Standard Interview Questions again. They emailed me afterwards asking about my salary requirements. After that was provided, I did not hear back from them for 1.5 weeks. After sending an email, I was informed that I was backup to someone else they made an offer to.

    Manufacturing Engineer Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at L-3 Communications.

    Interview Details

The process started with a phone screening interview with HR. Next was a longer more detailed interview the hiring manager that lasted about an hour. A few weeks later, they flew me down for an on-site interview. The interview lasted all day. It consisted of me sitting in a room, with about 7 or 8 different people rotating in to interview me. It was long and exhausting, but not terribly difficult. I went on a tour at the end and was pretty drained by all the interviews. I wish I had gone on the tour first so I could have asked more questions during the day. The people all seemed nice.

    Interview Questions
    • The most difficult part was the length of the interview and the repetitive questions I got from people walking in and out. Most of the questions themselves were pretty standard situational questions and resume questions.   Answer Question

    Manager Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at L-3 Communications.

    Interview Details

The interview was scheduled for 4 hours, and did last all of it. I met with about 6 different people. A lot of the questions between the individuals were similar. The repetitiveness made some of the interview time feel like a waste. It was typical questions based upon the position at hand, nothing too complex. There was also a small walk through of one of the manufacturing areas, which was cool to see.

I was told during the process that a decision would be made in two weeks. There was no further communication from the company for almost six weeks. (even after a polite update request at the two week mark)

    Interview Questions
    • A lot of, how would you handle this situation, type scenarios were asked.   Answer Question
