Applied online and the process took about a month. The interview consisted of several one on one and a panel with two interviewers. With all interviews they went over my resume and asked a few personality questions. I was told what they were expecting with this position. A few weeks later, I was given a phone call letting me know that they were not interested.

Upper management was more concerned about their bonuses then their employees. Employees were laid-off if you had more than 10 years of seniority and based on their race and sex. Some employees with over 25 years of service were laid-off prior to the age of 55 so the company would pay little or no retirement including health benefits. Upper management was more concerned with hopping in the sack to climb the corporate ladder then evaluating their employees. You would have a better chance working for Donald Trump.

First called for phone interview. Very easy to speak with the team. Asked standard interview questions and genuinely cared about me as a person. Next, I was called into a group interview. Standard Interview Questions again. They emailed me afterwards asking about my salary requirements. After that was provided, I did not hear back from them for 1.5 weeks. After sending an email, I was informed that I was backup to someone else they made an offer to.

The job organizing procedure starting from interviews to the the job location, I think was a real challenge to L3, Site managers at posts, are those who make our job well done through their well understanding and step out helping us getting adapted to our new locations, and daily communications by e-mails or post visits.

Nothing especially noteworthy, wish they would have focused more on my military experience. Having a wealth of military experience t draw from, I felt that the interview could have been more focused on the best way to leverage that experience into the company's long view goals.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing of note, I wish the questions had been a bit more robust. I tend to believe that the experience at the time was leaning more towards hiring from the civilian population versus a prior military candidate. The Ft Hood situation had occurred within the last 6-9 months and may have made them a bit wary of certain candidates, which is understandable, but at the same time disparaging.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 3 months - interviewed at L-3 Communications.

    Interview Details

The process started with a phone screening interview with HR. Next was a longer more detailed interview the hiring manager that lasted about an hour. A few weeks later, they flew me down for an on-site interview. The interview lasted all day. It consisted of me sitting in a room, with about 7 or 8 different people rotating in to interview me. It was long and exhausting, but not terribly difficult. I went on a tour at the end and was pretty drained by all the interviews. I wish I had gone on the tour first so I could have asked more questions during the day. The people all seemed nice.

    Interview Questions
    • The most difficult part was the length of the interview and the repetitive questions I got from people walking in and out. Most of the questions themselves were pretty standard situational questions and resume questions.   Answer Question

I applied through the company career website and received a email a week later to set up a phone screening with one of the engineer. Overall, the phone interview was great. We went over my resume and experiences relating to the position. Since I was fresh out of college, we discussed also about my courses. After phone screening, I did not received any further follow up.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 months - interviewed at L-3 Communications in August 2012.

    Interview Details

Found the position through an on-campus job fair. The day after a job fair I was given an on-campus interview and they said they would follow-up. After a follow-up email and phone call I recieved an on-site interview. After the intewview a few weeks went by and I didn't hear a thing. I attempted to call and send email to HR manager and got no response. I called the recruiter and turns out she was fired for something. I gave up all hopes and never heard anything.
