Because this was a work at home position I interviewed over the phone and in my opinion it was a standard interview, no extremely hard questions. More so looking at why I wanted to change to the other side of the foreclosure fence and come to their company.

Initial HR communications good until offer accepted, then next to impossible to get someone in HR. Planning of interview was done via email, once date set interview was onsite in conference room with 5-8 people asking technical and non-technical questions. Called back for second interview, 3 people present with non-technical questions. Once chosen and offeraccepted, onboarding was all in Taleo website with videos and courseware.

Long term employee that went through hiring during a much different environment than today. As a manager, all hiring is run through a talent acquisition group -- most of them do a good job of screening applicants and setting up interviews etc. Was often disappointed with the quality of candidates available to chose from but I think that was more a result of the replies received and the recruiters giving the best that they had. Need to find ways to attract a stonger talent pool.

    Interview Questions
    • Hard to say -- as noted above, my experience was based on a much different environment.   Answer Question

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Lender Processing Services in July 2010.

    Interview Details

Interview was pretty easy as I was interviewing for a mid level developer role. It really depends on who you interviewing with and what level position (entry, mid, senior, architect, etc.) as the company is really big and has a lot of development teams all over the country. I don't think they care too much about being a cultural fit or anything like that because they are just dying for new developers due to the high turnover rate.

    Interview Questions
    • Basic C# and .NET - nothing too daunting. Like what is the difference between an abstract class and an interface. Textbook questions.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Was offered $55,000 a year salary. No negotiations since I really needed the job.

Applied and received a call from HR within 48 hrs asking if I could be scheduled for an interview. I met with the hiring manager, they ask you standard behavioral questions "name a time when /how did you handle style questions, name 4 good/bad qualities." I believe there were about 10 questions.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing unexpected, all your standard interview questions.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation. The pay is very low compared to the industry standard.

    Trainer Interview

My interview was drawn out. I completed the phone interview and followed up with a thank you email. I didn't hear back for over 1 1/2 months so had written the position off. Once i heard back, the process took about 3 additional weeks for the hiring manager to decide to move forward with me.

    Interview Questions
    • The most challenging question involved my ability to work remotely. Although the manager was hiring for a remote employee, the questions all led me to believe that the remote position was not ideal in the hiring manager's opinion. I had to justify over and over that I have worked remotely in the past with success.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
I attempted to negotiate salary and was shut down. The manager is a person who needs to be in the driver's seat at all times, I later found out.
