Assistant Account Executive Interview

Assistant Account Executive

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Leo Burnett.

Interview Details – Went through two phone screenings and a week later was brought in for an interview. The office was very lively.

Interview Question – Didn't feel like an interview so it was difficult to know what exactly they wanted to hear.   Answer Question

Intern Interview

Intern

I applied through college or university and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Leo Burnett.

Interview Details – Came to my school to recruit interns, screened portfolios in advance and scheduled interviews based on the selected work. Interviewer was incredibly friendly and positive--she made the process feel more like sitting down with a friend than it did a formal interview and was clearly head-over-heels for the company.

Interview Question – Frankly, there were not many actual questions that I can recall, and none were surprising or unexpected.   Answer Question

Account Executive Interview

Account Executive
Chicago, IL

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Leo Burnett in September 2009.

Interview Details – Long contact and interview process. Mostly handled by phone calls, at long intervals. I had been an intern, so the recruiter had all my information. A trip was programmed to go out and interview with staff for 2 days at the Chicago office. Leo B. paid for all expenses. The interviews were long and extensive with people from every department. Although I did well during the interview process, the company was hit with unexpected economical woes and hiring was stopped. I did not pursue a career in this company, but went off to do well at their competition.

Finance Manager Interview

Finance Manager
Chicago, IL

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Leo Burnett in October 2010.

Interview Details – applied online. was contacted by hr for a phone interview and then invited for a day of in person interviews at the chicago, il office. the hr rep tried to convince me to apply for the sr financial analyst level instead of the finance manager role that i was more than qualified for. when i went to the in person interviews was met by an HR intern as the hiring manager became busy. then met with a colleague of the hiring manager. this person questioned whether or not i would fit with the group. then meet with the VP of finance. he took calls during the interview, checked his email and even stepped out to sing happy birthday for one of his teammates during his birthday cake cutting celebration (I KId You Not.... SMH). so we probably spoke all of 25 minutes out of the hour scheduled. then after this mess i met with the hiring manager who was very curt and off putting. thankfully she cut the day short by claiming that the other people on the list weren't available to meet me that day.

Interview Question – no unexpected questions just unexpected behavior by staff   Answer Question

User Experience Designer Interview

User Experience Designer
Jakarta (Indonesia)

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Leo Burnett in April 2012.

Interview Details – I was contacted by HR via LinkedIn. Planning was all good, but still i had to wait a bit before it start at our agreed schedule. The interviewer seem to didn't understand that i was invited, so some question and mood flow a bit different. Truth is i expect for more respect since they whose invite me to come, and not i'm the one that applied for the position.

Interview Question – Still in their premature transition into digital agency world, so they didn't fully comprehend the overall situation being in the digital biz.   Answer Question

Brand Executive Interview

Brand Executive

I applied through other source and the process took a day - interviewed at Leo Burnett in August 2011.

Interview Details – I sent them an unsolicited letter and received a phone call 2 months later for an interview. Interview was set 3 days later, and the lady asked me not to reschedule the interview date because they have very tight schedule. Within the 3 days, I had to prepare a proposal and a presentation on a given topic (something that you have to come up with a marketing plan for a product/brand). A day before the interview, they called and request a change of time of the interview. On the day of the interview, in the morning, they called again and request another change of time AGAIN! OKAY..............so i went there on time, waited for 45 mins, because the brand manager was hving a meeting. She first asked me to introduce myself. Then her cell rang, and she went out to answer. When she came back, she asked me to present her with my proposal. I just started, and she asked if i can finish the presentation shortly. I said i will try to speed up. Then her phone rang AGAIN! OMG! After answering the phone, she said she will get back to me after reading my proposal with her boss. I felt really disrespected. Yet, i still sent her an email thanking for her precious time. Two weeks later, i email-ed and asked if they have already hired the right one and would like to hear from them. NO RESPONSE at all..................
