I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Interview Details – I applied online and received an email to set up a phone interview within a couple of weeks. The phone interview was easy and structured. It consisted of six or so typical behavioral questions. After the phone interview was completed, the interviewee told me she wanted to move me on to their face-to-face process. The incredibly tedious process was a four-hour experience. It began with a computer test that tested my skills at processing processing phone calls (it was very easy if you have common sense). The next test was a behavior/skills test (that I had already taken online...), which was also simple. I then had two back-to-back interviews that consisted of a ridiculous amount of behavioral questions (at least 15-20 in total). The questions weren't exceedingly difficult...pretty typical behavioral questions. Finally, I spent about 30 minutes watching an employee process incoming calls in her cubical. I tried to ask some questions about the job and the day-to-day experience, but she was on the phone for all of 3 minutes that I was there. I was told I would be contacted within the next few days. Two weeks later, I received an email rejection letter. I believe I seemed too ambitious to move up within the company and the call center manager didn't want to deal with hiring me and then having to replace me 6 months to a year down the road. They were looking for call center enthusiasts.

Interview Question – Typical behavioral questions. There were no trick questions.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Interview Details – After applying through my college database, I received a normal phone interview. The interviewer was very friendly, although she was difficult to schedule the actual interview with. She asked me normal behavioral interview questions, with most of them focusing on specific times in my life when I've used a dataset and had to analyze it. She asked me these sort of dataset experience questions several times in different manners, such as discussing a time in which I used dataset information and regressions to persuade someone. Overall, the interview was not difficult, the questions were almost all solely focused on dataset usage and regressional analysis.

Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you had to manipulate a dataset to convey something.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in January 2014.

Interview Details – The hiring process from beginning to end was about 3 months. 1st round standard phone interview sweeping the resume. They flew me in for an in person second round interview. There were four hours of behavioral questions, and only two technical questions between four different Fellows. It seemed like a good opportunity, but I didn't fit in to the dry culture.

Interview Question – When was a time when you lacked information but were able to carry on with the specific task at hand?   Answer Question

Field Counsel Interview

Interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance

Interview Details – The process was straightforward. First, after I applied online, I was contacted by the office manager to schedule a phone interview with the hiring manager. I had one phone interview with the hiring manager and was invited to do a face-to-face interview at the end of the conversation. I attended two in-person interviews -- one with the hiring manager and a team leader and another one with all 8 of the team leaders.

Interview Question – The questions mainly focused on the depth of my legal experience.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Interview Details – Phone interview, Liberty mutual phone interview turned me away from company as a whole, no compassion or understanding. The interviewer was very uninviting, could tell she was interviewing me and moving straight to next interview. Did not feel satisfied with opportunity to succeed.

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in February 2014.

Interview Details – Applied through university career website, and received an e-mail for a phone interview. Phone interview was standard questions, half an hour. Was e-mailed a week later that I was invited to final round interviews at headquarters in Boston. Final round consisted of two behavioral interviews, a case, and a job shadow of a current Product Management employee. Each 45 minutes, entire process lasted about 4-5 hours.

Interview Question – Case was the hardest part, other interviews were standard behavioral questions.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Interview Details – I initially received and email asking to reply back to schedule a phone interview. the email was from an unmanned email address. Luckily i was able to guess the senders email address using the name signed at the bottom and Google. I got an email from another person the next day confirming the date. On the day i got a call and proceeded with a phone interview. Pretty standard. STAR questions and prior work review. then a onsite interview was scheduled. I arrived 30 minutes early. Basically similar behavioral questions as on the phone, prior work review. Then i was interviewed by a second manager. Same material basically. I was told they still had people to interview and i should know in a couple of days. Interview lasted about 2 hours and I thought it went well. Soon after I received a rejection via email.

Interview Question – Majority of questions were behavioral.   Answer Question

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in February 2014.

Interview Details – I found out about this position through an on-campus career fair. I submitted my application online and was scheduled for a phone screen/interview. The interviewer asked general questions, sort of "getting to know me" and trying to get a feel for your experience followed by some behavioral questions. The questions were fairly easily, though considering the experience requirement was 0-2 years for this position, it would seem difficult to have experienced scenarios related to the questions they asked.

Interview Question – Tell about a time you had to make a difficult decision?   Answer Question

Administrative Executive Interview

I applied online and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in October 2013.

Interview Details – Applied online, a recruiter then called me for a basic phone screen lasting 20 minutes or so. She then referred me to the hiring manager on-campus. This was about a 45 minute interview. The woman was professional but looked unhappy to be there/ tired. She asked me many questions off a piece of paper that really had nothing to do with the actual position which was basically filling out paperwork all day. The job seemed very redundant and thats what i told her was my least favorite aspect of my current job. I wasn't surprised when I got a call a week later and had been told they hired a temp. Wouldn't have considered it anyways as everyone in the department was silent and looked miserable!

Liberty is a great company but it is definitely for people who are totally willing to play the "corporate game"
