I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at LocalEdge in November 2013.

    Interview Details

The hiring process was very straight forward, quick and efficient. The recruiter gave very detailed instructions in how to prepare for the interview. Once the interview was scheduled the interview took place in one day, with an additional interview being scheduled the same day. I liked the fact they were quick decision makers when the first interviewer passed me along the same day to the second phase of the interview process.

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at LocalEdge in June 2012.

    Interview Details

The interview was a joke. They make you do a power point presentation on selling products that you have no idea what they do. Because of my questions, I think the manager played up the interview process, but then when I made it to training, I first hand saw they would take anyone. It is completely pointless to interview seeing how they will take anybody who walks through the door!.

RVP and local manager were totally different in their interviewing methods. Local manager seemed to want great talent. RVP want to treat talent even before bring on-board as "not worthy" for the position, more pay, anything!

I interviewed online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at LocalEdge in April 2012.

    Interview Details

The interview was a joke. They make you do a power point presentation on selling products that you have no idea what they do. There is no phone interview, which is a bad sign for any job seeker. They just want to see that you can talk your way into a sale. It is completely pointless to interview seeing how they will take anybody who walks through the door.

    Interview Questions
    • The questions were very limited. They just wanted to make sure your not crazy and that you can talk in complete sentences. A monkey could get this job if he could drive.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
They tell you "everything is a negotiation", and then when you negotiate a salary, you get push back from the person who told you to negotiate. Silly process and unprofessional.

Initial phone interview: I was contacted on the phone after my manager saw my resume online. He asked me several questions to see what my background was like lasted about 30 minutes. second interview in person - met with manager at a coffee house near my house.. THIS IS A REAL INTERVIEW IT IS NOT A CASUAL MEETING! I did not realize this and was not dressed appropriately.. almost did not get the chance for the third interview so don't make that mistake. The third interview was at the office for a presentation which lasted about 1 hour. Very professional atmosphere, the reps made me feel really comfortable while I waited for the meeting to start. Good people to work with and interview with but they have high standards bring your A game

Negotiating is tough with this company, Hearst the parent company is VERY large and their benefits packages and compensation plans are somewhat rigid. That being said, outstanding benefits, healthcare is with united and very good, commission is universal for all consultants so no sense in trying to negotiate that

    Interview Details

Received a call from Management. Saw my resume' online, invited me in for an interview. Went in for interview, met with Manager. She looked over my resume', loved my experience and offered me the job. No questions about my work history, experience, pay, commission, information about company, pros, cons, nothing. She told me when and where training would be and I would receive a call from HR to finish the hiring process. Took less than 15 minutes.

I interviewed online. The process took 1 week - interviewed at LocalEdge in February 2012.

    Interview Details

The office looks cheap and run down. Some of the staff is extremely unprofessional. Interviewed with area vp and he was great. Probably the best thing they have here. Easy interview. Common sales questions. I was unimpressed with everyone else. Hiring process was ok. Training was a nightmare. Day to day is pretty good. It seems like they are improving things every week. The interview was hurried. I think they were in a hurry to hire people for the next training class since it lasts 3 weeks long.

Met with 2 different managers. Gave a presentation with all of the digital media products to a pretend restaurant. Drug test. Run from this company if you are used to being treated with respect, dignity and most important- trust. Make phone calls all day and then go home and prep and plan in the evening. Work all day, work all night. It's all about making the company richer. It is a shame that Hearst owns this company. My respect for Hearst has gone down the tubes. Run, run, run from this place. Lie about how much money you can make. It is a revolving door.. You would be going in as many, many people are going out...
