    Software Engineer Associate Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Sunnyvale, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

My resume was in the Lockheed Martin career system for over a year before a recruiter pulled it off the top of the stack, but the actual process from recruiter email to offer letter took a little under 3 weeks. Phone interview followed by panel interview the following week by hiring manager + the team I would be working with. The team asked most of the questions, which were just about all behavioral or about past experiences listed on my resume. There weren't any technical questions, only questions about past experiences on how your skills were used. The first question below was the most technical question I received.

    Interview Questions

    • When designing an application, would you start with the back-end or the front-end?   1 Answer
    • What are 3 strengths & 3 weaknesses that your former employer or acquaintances would say about you?   Answer Question

    Non-Tech Finance Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Syracuse, NY

    Positive Experience

    Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Syracuse, NY) in April 2015.

    Interview

I applied online and was flown out. I did not have a phone interview beforehand. It was not an "interview day" like the others spoke of with many people. I was taken up stairs and interviewed without any other candidates around. There was a panel of 3 people. One person I believe the division manager, then there was an analyst, and an administrative worker. They had a three page document of questions, (it looked like they skipped some). The question total was around 12-15. Everyone was extremely nice, and easy to talk to. the questions were all your average behavioral questions. The only problem you might run into is thinking of enough experiences which a different from the last for each answer.

    Interview

Provided travel accommodations for my on-site interview. Actual interview was very relaxed and positive. They asked about things on my resume, challenges I'd faced in my previous work, and spent the rest of the time getting to know me. They made sure I understood what it would be like to relocate and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. Overall it was a great experience.

    Interview

Face to Face interview. There is no phone interview. The first interview is face to face at the company. You are contacted by the Career Services Representative from your school and he/she provides you the details for your interview. You check in and then someone from the team comes to get your and takes you into the building. There, I was interviewed by 3 managers at the same time and they asked basic interview questions. They look to see if the students is analytical and if they are proficient with various Microsoft Office tools and databases such as SAP.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Ocala, FL).

    Interview

I study mechanical engineering and have 3 good summer internships (not in defense industry) ive always wanted to work for lockheed martin so i put almost all of my effort in to applying there. I got a call probably 2 months after my application was in (I applied early) to see if i was interested in going to the facility for a tour/interview and for me to give a quick explanation of my resume. They paid for my expenses and hotel. The interview day was long (~8am-1pm) but i was the only one that day. I toured many different parts of the facility that were followed by interviews that were conducted by the manager(s) of that particular area. They use the STAR method so study up on that and always use relevant examples, some tricky questions but just show how much you want the job and why youre qualified.

    Interview

Applied online during xxxxxx month. Month later received call about wanting to have an interview. Month later flew out to interview. They paid for everything. Interview lasted about an hour or so. Not the most difficult interview. Typical situational/behavioral/straightforward questions. 3-1 interview. Two people in person and one via conference call. Two people in person that interviewed me turned out to be the two direct people I would end up working with.

    College Student Tech Spec Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Littleton, CO

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Littleton, CO) in March 2015.

    Interview

I applied online to multiple positions available and was first notified about if I would require disability accommodations about a week after applying. Some time between 2-3 weeks after I applied I was invited to interview in person about 5 days after the invitation was sent. I was nervous at first but prepared by educating myself on the program the position was for and thinking about my experiences on my resume. In the end, what my interviewers really cared about was knowing that I was excited about the position and would look forward to coming into work every day. This made the interview go smoothly as I was incredibly excited by the opportunity. I was told informally about three hours after the interview that they liked me and wanted to move forward and the next business day was given a formal offer. Just remember, chances are your interviewer(s) are nice people and won't be as intimidating as you may expect. In most engineering cases, they are looking for someone that fits well in a team environment and is intrinsically motivated by the work they do.
