    Receiver/Stocker Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Lowe's in November 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview was rushed and mechanical. Meaning that their was no asking what i did for a former job or for school(as i am in college.) The interviewer was a half an hour late starting and received no apology. Most of the questions had NOTHING to do with the position i applied for. Since when does a receiver/stocker upsell a product WHEN THE STORE IS CLOSED(as that is when i would be working?) That made no sense. Also three interviews for a stocking position is a little excessive. ALSO cannot leave store for break (even through fire exit.) I doubt that is legal.

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at Lowe's in November 2014.

    Interview Details

Interview took about 90 minutes. 12 to 14 questions. 6 by HR and 6-8 by Asst. Manager. Company structured questions so all candidates get same questions. All questions dealt with customer services, relations or mistakes you made and how you fixed the issues.
Informal setting and relaxed. Life experiences helpful.

I applied online and the next day I got a call to come in for a interview the following day. Unfortunately, I was about 10 minutes late. The interview was okay. Standard Customer Service situation questions. But I was pretty nervous. The questions were purely situational and they wanted you to be very specific. "Name a time when..." things like that. Be very specific.

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Lowe's.

    Interview Details

Went through 3 rounds of interviews (was even brought on-site) over the course of 2 months.

Here are my overall thoughts about the company and team interview:

    - Company seems like a good place to work (just a little old school).

    - The Mooresville campus is gorgeous.

    - Heard a lot of "drinking the kool-aid" comments which can be both good or bad.

    - The team I interviewed with seemed to be focused more on theories rather than every day practical applications.

    - Some of the people interviewing had far less experience and it was obvious when I asked them questions about their jobs/experience.

    - The job description was more of a training role rather than ID (they outsource their eLearning development FYI).

    - The recruiter was more interested in his phone than me when he was giving me a "tour."

Just make sure you do your homework and ask a TON of questions because some things get lost in translation. It's a decent place to work, just not for me.

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Lowe's in October 2014.

    Interview Details

Application began with online 30 min survey of situational questions. In store interview was scheduled 1 week later. Met with HR person (20-30min). She asked a number of situational questions. Then I was handed off to another manager who continued the interview (20-30min). 90% of interview was situational questions (possibly 10 questions). You should have examples of scenarios.

For me, the process was intended to get some practice with in-person interviews. I definitely need more practice!

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Lowe's in October 2014.

    Interview Details

Interviewed with the recruiter and a technical expert at my universities career center. The interview consisted of mostly Behavioral questions and a couple of technical based questions, relating to my project experience in IT. The behavioral questions were mostly situational-based, such as tell me about a time you had a member on your team that was difficult to get along with; how did you handle it?

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Lowe's in October 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online and was contacted for an interview within a week. The interview itself was quite easy. The woman from HR was extremely friendly, almost to the point of unprofessional- she called me very handsome. She even coached a fair amount during the interview. At the end she said "I will certainly see you again, we have interviews this week and will contact you early next week." I never was contacted, I tried to get a hold of her multiple times but she was always "in interviews."
