I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Lowe's in February 2014.

Interview Details – I was called by the person who works human resources and had a mini interview over the phone with him. He asked why I applied for the position, what experience I have in customer service, why I should be considered for a job. I answered honestly and carefully, and I got an interview in.
We met up in a couple of days and he interviewed me. After that, the manager of the store interviewed me as well.
They told me to come back again and that was when they both told me that I gave off a very nice impression and they'd love to have me work for them.
I was scheduled to come back in a week to orientation with a group of people that hired in for other departments.
I also took an oral drug test and did some computer training before I was on the floor.

Interview Details – Applied online and called the store asking to speak to the HR manager. Upon getting a hold of the HR asked if I thy would be available for me to shake their hand and put a face to my application. Two weeks passed and I got a call saying I had a interview the next day. Arrived early in slacks, shirt, tie, and a vest. Interviewed first with the zone manager and that week well. 5 minutes after I spoke to the HR and was offered the job on the spot.

Interview Question – "Describe a time when you went above and beyond in your customer service."   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – HR manager offered me 10.24$ which was above my previous job so I accepted immediately. After thinking about it I could have likely received more due to my experience.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Lowe's in February 2014.

Interview Details – Applied online, was called for an interview after two weeks or so. I was interviewed by the HR person and then by the store manager, both of whom were really nice and easy to talk to. It was a very comfortable interview with a lot of back and forth and conversation, I was able to get to know them as people rather than them just asking me job related questions.

Interview Question – All the questions were pretty standard interview questions.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. They use a computer program to determine what you're worth based on your experience.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Lowe's in January 2010.

Interview Details – After waiting three months for contact after I submitted my resume, I drove over 100 miles to the HQ to interview. I never was given the chance to speak with anyone, I was only told to sit at a computer and take their screening test. After about an hour of answering questions, a message flashed on the screen that I had not passed the test. There was no explanation given. I spoke with the HR rep who said oh, gee, we really liked your resume. I asked how I could find out why I failed their screening, and was told I could not but I could reapply in six months. I was furious as I had wasted time and gas driving there when I could have done their computer test at home. Also, if I didn't know why they didn't want me, why would I reapply? Finally, I wasn't give the chance to speak to anyone to find out about the job, so why would I remain interested? This was the worst interview experience I ever had.
