    Interview

First round is a set of pre-recorded interview questions that you answer and then submit to them via a web interface. This is followed by a phone and then an in-person interview.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at MGM Resorts International in January 2015.

    Interview

Very odd process with way too many hoops to jump through. There is an initial video recording where you are asked a question online and then have to record your answer. This is a very awkward process, but at least you can re-record your answer if you were not satisfied with your first attempt at the answer. There were also two follow up phone interviews. For each phone interview, I was asked what time would work well with my schedule by an HR representative. In both instances, I was scheduled to interview at a different time that conflicted with the many options I had provided. This made things very uncomfortable when I would have to point out that the time conflicted with my availability. After supposedly correcting the issue, I still received a phone call at the original time slot during which I was preoccupied. While the people with whom I spoke during the interviews were very friendly and professional, the HR team reflects poorly on the organization as a whole with their lack of attention to detail. This was as far as I made it through the process.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a dayinterviewed at MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas, NV) in June 2014.

    Interview

External recruited reached out to me for this position. After initial phone screen met various members of the CIO staff and the CIO on site to discuss the opportunity. Some major challenges and opportunities in the organization. Interviews were thorough. Not a match and their decision was done by the next business day.

Facilities are in a brand-new building away from downtown but close enough (15-20 min. taxi ride). Friendly atmosphere.

    Interview

First went through an initial screening. After a week, received an interview with the Revenue Analyst director. Director was very professional and nice. We spoke about each others journey to be where we are. He asked general behavioral questions and also some technical questions about my abilities using excel formulas and programming abilities with SQL. However, I didnt have any experience with SQL. We got along well so he referred me to a position lower called the Channel Distribution Analyst. That interview was mainly all behavioral and I did not get that position either.

I applied online. The process took 6 daysinterviewed at MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas, NV) in July 2013.

    Interview

Applied for job online and received a call for an interview within days. Interview was a phone interview 3 on 1, with three staff members from the communications department. Very short interview, less than 10 minutes. After introductions only one member of the staff spoke. Only a few questions where asked and they happened so rapid fire I barely had a chance to formulate responses.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas, NV) in July 2013.

    Interview

The first interview was a phone interview about my background, skills sets and salary expectation.
The second interview happened 2 weeks later, it was a technical interview based on SQL. MGM called back 2 week later regarding the salary range they were providing and face to face interview at the client location. But the salary was way low then my expectation, so I had to decline their job offer.

I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas, NV) in April 2013.

    Interview

I was applying for the position from within the company. The initial interview was a series of questions where you were asked about the best and worst employer/employee/co-worker and what their strengths and weaknesses were. It was the most unusual interview I ever had. The second interview was with a consultant who asked a series of questions about how you handled personnel issues in the past.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at MGM Resorts International (Las Vegas, NV) in August 2012.

    Interview

I applied online for this position and received a phone call for a request to take an Excel test at the corporate location. This was also the job location. The environment was very upscale professional and a bit stuffy for my taste. The administrative assistant who met with me was quiet and not overly friendly but polite.

    Interview Questions

    • The test consisted of about 12 tabs on an Excel spreadsheet that was created by someone at MGM. It was not a Kenexa or other third-party type test. The position stated that you needed intermediate knowledge. It was not a success for me because I have used intermediate formulas but on a very limited basis so I got confused on some of the questions. But for someone who has worked with Excel on a daily basis using pivot tables, vlookups and other types of intermediate functions you should be fine. I politely took myself out of the running as I was unable to finish the one-hour test on Excel 2003 and Excel 2010 on time.   Answer Question
