The process took 5 days - interviewed at Macquarie Group in September 2010.
Interview Details – Updates until the offer were via email. First interview is with a member of HR, of which I got a lovely member. Typical behavioural questions, though some of the other candidates I talked to told me they had brain teaser questions to gauge your critical thinking. On completion of this interview they either put you through to the psychometric test (behavioural and IQ) that day, or tell you they'll contact you later with details.
The day after I received news that I had progressed to the next stage. Interview was few days later, with two people from the departments interested in taking you in. You can have up to three interviews a day, though the most common number was two back to back, 45 mins.
Few days later I got the job offer
Tips: Suit. Emphasize teamwork. Shake their hands. Basic, but maybe those going for the intern/graduate positions need this to be spelt out clearer.
Interview Question – Need to ship database of sensitive data offshore to be tested. Uncomfortable with doing this, as different laws about privacy occur in different countries. What are the solutions? Answer Question
