Interview Details – The hiring process can be lengthy but well worth it. I has 3 interviews, one by phone, the second one on one with the department manager and the last was with the department. Interview Question – The unexpected questions were why I was leaving a particular company who was very popular for turnover and what my commitment was to the company I was currently interviewing with.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – The company worked with me met many of my requests. They were fair. Officer titles were kept, and salary negotiations went smoothly.

Placement Specialist Interview

I applied online and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Marsh & McLennan Companies in October 2012.

Interview Details – Multiple interviews with numerous collegues. My first interview I met with 8 different people in small groups (2 at a time). Based on my prior industry experience (12+ years) most of the questions were about getting to know me. I was invited back for a second interview with upper management level collegues. Similar to the first interview session as I met them in small groups and was mostly asked about my working style, challenges I've faced in the work environment, etc.

Interview Question – Describe the biggest challenge you faced in your prior job. How did you address and find resolution to the challenge.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Negotiation is through a 3rd party that Marsh uses for hiring and backround checks. The process was easy as they agreed to the terms I asked for. Conduct a backround check.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Marsh & McLennan Companies in October 2013.

Interview Details – Online assessments, then phone interview, lastly an in-person interview. I did have the option of a video interview, but asked for an an in-person interview because i had not yet unpacked and installed all of my electronic equipment and could not find my webcam at that time. No drug test, but they do perform a background check and verify your education.

Interview Question – all interview questions are behavioral based and begin with: "explain about a time when....", my interview was scheduled with 2 supervisors and then i interviewed with the department manager after (same day). I was not expecting to be asked, "where else have you applied and interviewed". That was the last question the department manager asked me.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – the pay was advertised as non-negotiable at $12.50 per hour and since i was currently unemployed, I accepted the job offer.
