    I had a panel interview with three lab supervisors. All questions were behavioral and there were no technical questions. The interview confirmation email should help you a lot in your preparation, I found it very useful.

    Interview

    Applied June 3rd and received a call a week later for an interview. The interview process was relatively quickly. It was a group interview with three people including the supervisor, HR employee and a current employee in a similar position. Interview questions were all behavior based for this position. Be prepared. These interviews are not an "I'm going to wing it" interview.

    I applied online and they got back to me within a few weeks. I had a panel interview setup 2-3 weeks in advance. Interview process went smoothly and they even reimburse gas/food expenses. There were 3 department supervisors who interviewed me and asked mainly behavioral questions. Questions weren't entirely tough and it helped to visit their link for interview tips.

    Five person Panel Interview - Everyone was very polite and friendly. They asked about 9-10 Behavioral Questions. Interview lasted 1 1/2 hours. Mayo is big on emotional intelligence skills. Make sure you have a list of questions for them.

    I applied online. The process took 4+ monthsinterviewed at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) in March 2015.

    Interview

    Phone interview followed by three interviews from phone interview to offer spanning roughly four months. I initially met with other analysts and one senior analyst for my first in person interview, the second was with two analysts and the privacy officer, finally the third interview was with the Chief Privacy Officer for Mayo. The first two interviews focus a bit on background and personal career growth followed by behavioral type questions. The third interview was much more hands on with the actual work and strategies for the department and essentially was more of a we like you prove your the best candidate.

    The interview had several behavioral type questions and a couple technical questions. The technical questions were tricky but answerable. The Mayo Clinic website was actually helpful in providing sample questions and helpful tips to prepare for the types of questions used in the interview. Overall, it was a positive experience.

    There was an applicant pool for external applicants. You submit a resume and then you are screened over the phone to make sure you have the qualifications for the job. Once you are in the pool, departments choose the candidates they want to interview. interviewed with several departments before being offered a position.

    • they are all behavior-based questions. "tell me about a time when you..." No yes or no questions and they are hard but they give you plenty of time to answer or pass on a question and go back to it.   Answer Question

    Applied online and after some time heard back and scheduled a phone and skype interview since I didn't live near the location of the job. The interview lasted about 90 minutes. Over the phone I spoke with one person and then during the skype interview there was an additional person present and asking questions.
