I came dressed really nice and they they informed me about what the job consisted of and asked if i would be okay with taking out trash mopping floors etc. They asked me to come in for a second interview and hired me on the spot. Orientation was a couple hours long and consisted of signing papers and receiving shirt and hat.

From date of applying to date to hire was ~ 5 days, Had an interview and the questions they asked were very simple and nothing out of the ordinary. Common sense to get out of the trick personality questions. EX: If you saw someone drop food on the floor would you stop them from serving it.

Just be prepare to answer, "Why you want to work for Mcdonald's" , "Why should I pick you out of the individuals I have interview". This is all I remember but just be ready for basic questions. Know about the company and implemented in the answer. Get there early and TRY THE BEST TO SMILE that your face expression is just a happy friendly person. My interviewer notice that but I just said "There's a difference between been professional and work" in other words I was there for the interview but that my characteristics will be shown when I get the job.

A survey was made of the medical schools in the United States to obtain a description of the interview process used in the selection of first-year medical students. The following questions were the basis for the study: What is the role of the interview in the selection of medical students? What is the nature of the interview process? How is the interview administered? An 87 percent response rate was obtained. The results indicated that 99 percent of the responding medical schools use interviews in evaluating students for medical school admission, and the interview ranks second only to the grade-point average in importance among four selection factors. The interview is usually in a one to one setting, with each applicant having two separate interviews. All schools use faculty and staff members in interviewing, and usually at least one admissions committee member interviews each applicant. Usually interviews are conducted on the campus of the school. Implications drawn from the results indicate a need for a quantification of methods to incorporate the interview into the selection process.

The hiring and interview process was not organized and I felt like it was a waste of time. The manager did not seem experienced in giving interviews. I was told to show up at a specific time, and when I did the manager was not prepared.

I interviewed in-person. The process took 2 months - interviewed at McDonald's in November 2011.

This was the job I really wanted for my first job (at 16/17) and I was determined to get it. It was right by my house so I could walk since I didn't have a car, it seemed like friendly people worked there, and I wanted to get hired. I first applied online, and then in person. I turned it in to the manager and they looked over it, then asked me if I could come in for an interview in a few days.

So I came in for the interview with the hiring manager and everything went well, so they scheduled me for a second interview with the general manager.

    First interview:
Questions they ask are like "Tell me about yourself / your work experience if you have any." "Why do you want to work here?" "Out of all the places around, why did you choose McDonald's?" "If hired how long would you work here?"

    Second interview:
They will probably ask you the same questions, but maybe some harder ones like "Where do you see yourself in the next 2-5 years?" "What makes you better than all the others we've interviewed?" stuff like that. They never asked me that, but better to be prepared for it.

They were nice, the interviews were short, anywhere from like 5-15 minutes.

You can just dress business casual. Don't overdress. They don't mind if you're in jeans and a blouse, or for male maybe just some khakis and a polo or button down. Just make sure everything is clean and cute.

I provided them my resume and references. It's hard to make a resume at 16/17 with no real experience but just do your best, it really makes you look good. They took forever to call my references, it might take up to two months. I kept calling back every one to two weeks, and even came in and talked to the manager to check up on the status of my application. So don't get discouraged right away. Good luck. It's a great place to work, despite all the other rants you've heard.
