Applied online and received a phone call from a recruiter, due to my background he found it very easy to recommend me for the next level of interviews. I was interviewed by the Distributor Manager and his boss, the Sales Manager. I though it went very well, received a behavioral test to fill out, but later found out I did not get the job.

    Category Manager National Accounts Interview

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at MillerCoors in July 2014.

    Interview Details

I reached out directly to the hiring manager via Linked In after applying on MillerCoors' website for the job. The following week I was contacted by someone from HR at MillerCoors to set up a phone interview. The following week I had a short phone interview, which we discussed my resume and experience. He told me a little more about the position, and asked me my salary requirements. Following the phone interview I was sent an online assessment to complete and scheduled a face to face interview with the team. The assessment took over 2 hours and it was a lot of behavioral and personality questions. One recurring question in the assessment was on how I would handle conflict as a manager. Each section in the assessment is timed, you will need to set time aside to complete this. My face to face interview was with the Hiring Manager, a Director of Category management, and the person on the team who's role I would be back filling for. I was sent 3 excel sheets head of time with a ton of industry data and a case study to present to the group in my interview. I found the case study to be really difficult, because I was not familiar with the beer industry or Nilson consumer data. The face to face interview was in a hotel conference room and was an hour long. I presented the case study and then they ask standard Star method interview questions. We had time for about 3 questions. "Explain a time where you want above and beyond your managers expectation". etc. They save ten minutes at the end of the interview for me to ask questions. Come prepared with questions for them.

    Interview Questions
    • We were talking about an excel tool I had put together in my current job, and the Director of Category Management asked me if all the servers crashed, and I had to start from scratch could I rebuild that reporting tool from scratch in excel. Also I was asked to rank my abilities in excel from 1-10.   Answer Question

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at MillerCoors.

Contacted by recruiter via LinkedIn. Phone screen then face to face with hiring manager and another person in Colorado who was attending via video conference.

Odd experience. Questions were extremely canned. They look to psycho analyze you via STAR type questions. Also have to take an extremely long personality assessment online beforehand.

applied online, took about a week and then received email asking if I could fill out a psyc assessment. After submitting the assessment took about 4-5 days and I was called by headquarters and given an impromptu phone interview. All the emails I received were all "DONT REPLY" emails so there was never any contact with a person until the phone interview

    Legal Intern Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at MillerCoors in March 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview process began with a spring on-campus interview (OCI) at my law school. The twenty minute interview was with two attorneys at the company and was very relaxed. The questions generally pertained to items on my resume, leading to situational questions regarding experiences in those past positions. They asked one behavioral question regarding something I am passionate about and a story that could relate to that passion (their main slogan is "Passion for Beer", so this was somewhat expected). After the OCI, I received a call back for a second interview later that same week. The second interview was about one week after that call. The second interview took place at the MillerCoors corporate office in Milwaukee and lasted about 145 minutes. I met with an associate counsel, the general counsel, and two paralegals for roughly thirty minutes each. Each interview was relatively relaxed and enjoyable. Following the interviews I received a tour of the office. I was competing for the position with another law student, who I knew. Neither of us had heard anything regarding an acceptance of denial after about ten days. I found out from the other student that she had been awarded the position around that tenth day. MillerCoors did not contact me regarding my denial for over an entire month following the final interview. I found this to be relatively unprofessional. Upon calling me with my denial, they explained that they had to wait until the accepted applicant was fully admitted to the job (she had to pass some background checks and a drug test). Overall, I found the MillerCoors process enjoyable and friendly, with the only negative being how long they waited to alert me to my rejection.

    Associate Insights Manager Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at MillerCoors in February 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied for the role at the end of Dec 2013 and an existing employee (a friend of mine) submitted my information through their employee referral process. With the Holidays, I didn't expect to hear back soon. It took about 3 weeks to set up my initial phone screen with the recruiter. About 3 weeks after that I was invited for an in-person interview. My in-person was scheduled for 2/13. I was to meet with the hiring manager, his manager and the Director of the group. Although I wasn't aware ahead of time, this ended up being a panel review, which caught me off guard. There wasn't anything particularly surprising about the interview. They each gave me an overview of what they do and how they work together. The questions they asked me were all situational.."tell me about a time when..." Even those were pretty textbook. I had prepared the night before using some online resources and many of the questions I prepared were to similar (if not the same) to the ones they asked. Following the interview, they let me know that I was the first person they had interviewed and that they were meeting with other candidates over the next week. The recruiter did follow up with me as promised within a week to let me know that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. I did appreciate the personal email vs. the standard automated one that many employers send.

    Interview Questions
    • As mentioned, there weren't really any difficult questions for me since I had prepared well. They did ask what my favorite ad campaign was and why. That was the only question that strayed from the situational format.   Answer Question

    Director Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at MillerCoors.

    Interview Details

Worst interview panel that I have ever gone through. Comprised of a teleconference, a video conference and interviewers all in the room with me all at the same time. Total of six people. Side conversations on the VC and giggling going on while i was speaking. I nearly got up and walked out. It was far and away the most rude and unprofessional experience I have ever had in a hiring process. Gaining this experience through the process I had made up my mind before I hit the rental car on the way out. I immediately called the recruiter I was working with to remove myself from the process. What a surprisingly bad and disrespectful corporate culture! Mind you that I have worked for companies much larger than MillerCoors and have been through tougher interview processes. My issue was with their obvious lack of class.

    Interview Questions
    • The questions were typical situation based interview questions. The bad part was the unprofessional behavior that was exhibited and tolerated by senior leadership.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 7 weeksinterviewed at MillerCoors in June 2013.

    Interview Details

The entire process from start to finish went very smooth. When dates were communicated to me they were kept as promised. There was at least 1 contact per week from them until the very end when a decision was made. I had to reach out to the HR person to find out if a decision had been made.
