I applied through college or university. The process took 5+ monthsinterviewed at NBCUniversal.

    Interview Details

Applied online through the C2C application. After a few weeks, was initially screened by HR and followed up about a month later with a video interview. A month after the video interview, and after receiving a false hiring due to a "systems glitch," interviewed with department head. A month later, and after many emails back and forth with HR about application status, got the hiring call from the department head previously interviewed with.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a weekinterviewed at NBCUniversal.

First let me say that the guy that interviewed me was one of the most important people I have ever met. He started at the bottom, and with his skill, intelligence, and relentlessness, became the leader of the division. As I grew in my career, I found how important it was to fight for the guys under you just as hard as the guys above you. The interview wasn't so much about me, but a lot about where the team was headed. He was right all the way. In my three years of employment, everything he said that would happen, happened, and I had one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Hiring was fast and efficient. NBCUniversal is a perfect large sized technical company in my opinion.

    Interview Questions
    • The interview was more of a feeler versus something that tested my technical skills. The interviewer was so good, asking me specific questions did not have to happen. It was like he could look at me and my posture and tell if I was right. I guess if he didn't like me, I would just be fired anyways....   Answer Question

I knew how much the job was compensating initially. I was hired via a consulting company (Birlasoft) and the process was very simple.

Video interview, then contacted for a first round where I met with four executives, then came back in for additional interview with more executives and the EVP, then hired! It was very long the interviews would last a few hours because each meeting was 30-45 minutes so be ready and on your A-game.

    Interview Questions

    Sales Assistant Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at NBCUniversal in April 2014.

    Interview Details

It was really simple, questions like salary requirements, why you're choosing NBCUniversal, describe a time where you worked in a group, what are your goals. The first interview you are talking to a screen so its not as interactive as I had hoped but it's easy because it gives you 20-30 seconds to come up with your response, and then it counts down until the end.

    Interview Questions
    • There's not really an unexpected question, it's just hard because it's not interactive and you can't ask questions. I guess the hardest one would have been, why ad sales, because you need to understand the position.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at NBCUniversal in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied to a job in the Fall of 2013 but was still in college so I wasn't eligible. However over the year I kept in touch with the HR recruiter over the year. In April 2014, I reached back out regarding positions. HR scheduled me for two interviews with two separate managers one day. After those interviews I heard back within a few hours that I was invited to a second round. Went back into the city the following day, interviewed with two other people and then was offered the position a few offers later. One of the best and easiest interview processes I've ever had.

I applied through college or university – interviewed at NBCUniversal.

The interviewing process was a little intimidating. They sat around in a semi-circle with you at the head and were poker faced as they posed various hypothetical questions to you. Some were fair, others were obviously their attempt to gauge how you think on your feet.

    • If you determined, based on your research, that what the creative team wanted to do wasn't permissible, but creative insisted on going forward, how would you find a creative solution?   Answer Question

Phone interview with three managers and one recruiter. Asked to go over resume and talk about why interested in career path, as well as why was interested in the media industry. Interview as a whole was mostly in regard to background and interests rather than any technical questions. Very hard to get interviewed unless know someone at company.
