Expect several phone calls with HR, at least one an in person meeting with HR, one to three meetings in person with senior staff, be willing to let them do a back ground check, you must take a drug test and don't expect to hear back right away during each step of the process.

I applied online. The process took 6+ monthsinterviewed at NBCUniversal in March 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied last winter by email and heard back the next day to arrange a phone interview. Received an offer for a final round interview in New York after 2 weeks, but didn't receive the exact date for the in-person panel for another 2 months. Panel consisted of group portion, individual portion, and 2-minute timed presentation. Received an offer exactly 9 weeks after my interview. Long process with many pieces that lasted 6 months total.

It was extremely quick for me as I was already a head-runner and someone selected for the position. But for most, it's lengthy and grueling.

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at NBCUniversal in February 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied online on the NBC Careers website. It took about a month or so to hear back. First was a phone interview with a recruiter where we went into great detail regarding my background and experience as it relates to the job that I applied for. After this, I was extended an in-person interview with 2 managers and director of research. After three weeks, I was called back for a second round interview with the VP of research where I also met with the HR director to speak about the position and the culture of NBCU.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at NBCUniversal in February 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview process went extremely well. The interviewer was very relaxed and seemed genuinely interested in placing me in the right position. She asked about my interests, how I found out about the company, what roles I would see myself in. Definitely expect to answer the typical "tell me about yourself" questions, also be prepared to present why you truly want to work for the company. Be genuine. The company truly wants innovative thinkers and interns who have done research before applying.

Fairly simple interviewing process. Screening call with an HR recruiter, during which she asked personality/behavioral questions, why I wanted to work at NBC Uni, etc. On-site interview with someone from the Sales Department, asking more behavioral questions and some questions about my undergraduate experience. Overall, fairly simple.
