Easy Interview

Service & Training Manager Interview

Service & Training Manager

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Old Navy in May 2014.

Interview Details – 1.) They start with a cold call to see if they like you, if they do, you'll be offered an interview
2.) You'll meet with the store manager and the interview is pretty easy. the only "hard" questions is what your weakness or "opportunities" are. Just use a past fault and explain how you worked hard and perfected the otherwise lacking skill
3.) Depending on your 1st interview, you will receive a call for a 2nd interview which is usually with a surrounding store manager so they can get a different perspective.

Interview Question – Have you ever written an associate up and/or had to give disciplinary action? How did you handle the situation and please explain exactly what you said and if the problem was corrected in the future.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I originally asked for $17 an hour however, they decided to offer me $16. I accepted, considering they promised me raises. They said $17 wouldn't make me eligible for my next raise.

Customer Service Associate Interview

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Old Navy in October 2012.

Interview Details – I was hired during a seasonal hiring (october-november) and it was a group interview where we were asked questions like "what kind of role do you take in a group" or "tell us about yourselves" and we went around the table answering the questions. It wasn't difficult if you actually thought of an answer and participated. Although I was hired with everyone else, only after management evaluated everyone's performance did they decide who was actually seasonal and who wasn't. It wasn't very straight forward but it was understandable.

Interview Question – I'm not sure. They were all fairly easy interview questions you could find on any "most-asked interview questions" list.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They didn't negotiate. I was told what I'd be making during the training process.

I applied in-person and the process took 4 months - interviewed at Old Navy in August 2012.

Interview Details – When I applied, despite my previous customer service experience, they took about 4 months to call me for an interview. Once interviewed, I was hired within a few days. The interview was pretty relaxed and the questions didn't put me too much"on the spot".

Interview Question – I was asked about certain style's, which isn't a problem for me, but might catch some people off guard.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Old Navy in February 2011.

Interview Details – Met with two store managers, first with a manager of another store, then with the manager I would be working with. The two asked essentially the same questions. Finally met with the market leader, she asked more general questions, what my careers goals were, etc. I think it was more to get familiar with me than it was to interview me.

Interview Question – Expect lots of behavioral questions   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Pay rate was not negotiable, take it or leave it.

Very Difficult Interview

Service & Training Manager Interview Interview

Service & Training Manager Interview
Charlotte, NC

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Old Navy in June 2013.

Interview Details – I went to a college fair and met a store manager who encouraged me to apply..... so I did. I got a call 2 weeks later to sched. a pre screen which went well......... then a month went by without hearing anything until I had an interview with the DM.

Interview with another store manager was hard due to the fact that she kept role playing different situations trying to see how I handle it.

I was unassigned until I was placed in a store.

Interview Question – What would you do... if an associate is spreading rumors... or if an associate production is going down.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They were trying to low ball me.... with offering 15/hour. I just graduated and for that pay it wasnt worth it... I renegotiated for $16.50/hour
