    Two sets of interviews. First set had two 30 minute interviews, second set had three 30 minute interviews (3 people - 2 of the same as the first round). None of them were particularly difficult. i was asked about my prior work experience, why I thought the job would be a good fit, strengths/weaknesses, etc. No curveball questions.

    I was referred by someone within the company (OT is big on employee referrals), and someone followed up with me within two days of my resume submission. I had a phone interview with a recruiter for 45 minutes, during which we went over preliminary details about me and the job (normal screening) and then we scheduled an in person interview for the following week. The interview scheduling and confirmation were both clear and quick, which was great. I was greeted with 5 minutes of my arrival to the office, and then I interviewed for about 40 minutes with three people who were relevant to the position. I heard back right after my interview, and was followed up with the next day as well. Overall it was a very pleasant process.

    The hiring/ application process consisted of 1 phone interview and 2 Skype interviews. The interviews were about 30 minutes long each, and were one on one. The whole process took about 2 weeks?

    Very disorganized. Had scheduled phone interview times with me, only to not have them show up at the appointed time-had to resend the confirmation email they had sent to me. Then after the interview finally takes place, they assign this "homework' that went to further my suspicion that they have no respect for anyone's time.

    They will contact you via phone and ask you whether or not you are familiar with the company and what your dining habits are. Do you book via opentable etc... after that you will have a in person meeting with an area manager, then you will meet with several people at the corporate office in san francisco.

    • They are looking for hunter, aggressive, challenger types. Filled out some silly questionnaire and took an online personality assessment. They didn't ask anything unusual, probably because they are the least creative people ever.   Answer Question

    First round was a brief phone call, the second round was an in-person interview for 3 hours. I got a feeling that its one of the worst IT engineering places to work in the bay area. I just want to join the band of ppl at glassdoor who had horrid experience with the engineer aspect of this company. I would say even if you don't have a job don't go for the engineering team of this company, unless you wanna comprise and sacrifice your "SELF RESPECT"...thanks again glassdoor for letting me share my experience

    Phone interview and in person interview in SF. Met with executive sales managers who were relaxed and asked questions to see the fit. After a week I received an offer via phone. It was a smooth process. The company doesn't follow typical interview process. They look at the past work experience in the restaurant industry either in the capacity of sales or operations.

    To interview with the ERB Team, you need basic C++ skills that can be answered over the phone, you can find them online.
    The situation of the team is such that they are ready to hire anyone who is willing to work.

    Especially, the managers have limitations, so they are not looking for smart people. They will ensure every interviewer will give a positive feedback, if you are not smarter than the managers.

    very competitive.. Must have 4 years restaruant mgmt experience and 2 years direct b2b sales experience. OpenTable uses a consultative selling approach which means you need to practice this. You will also need to be prepared to ask many good questions. Don't be afraid to ask your interviewer for the job. always be closing.
