I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PPG.
Phone screen, 1:1 with hiring manager, panel interview, interview with location manager. This was a typical interview process for a technical role albeit lacking on the technical evaluation or testing aspect. Nothing surprising or original about the process.
- Typical interview questions such as, "identify a time you were challenged, how did you overcome the challenge?" Answer Question
I was not able to negotiate and found out later that I nearly had the offer pulled for asking to do so.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at PPG.
I applied through school connect, and talked with an recuitor in career fair. I got an email to ask me scheduled interview just in couple days. There were two young ladies willing to answer any questions before the interview. The two interviewers were women, and they were very friendly. It's an easy and relax interview.
- Almost behavioral questions! They asked me 9 questions, like name a time you were sad or conflict with people and how did you overcome it. Why this major? Why this university? Nothing about resume! Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at PPG (Delaware, OH) in February 2015.
2 phone screens (company recruiter and hiring manager) then flew me to Plant for on-site. Nice place but the people/process turned me off. There was no "sell" by the company - it was all Behavioral Based questions by every member of the team. Was obvious it was not an interview meant for interaction because the team members would stumble as they read the questions from their books and could not answer follow-up questions. They may be nice people but I couldn't tell because it was question/answer - very mechanical. I say very difficult because I didn't get to know the people which was a major turn-off for me.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at PPG.
I applied through my college career site after meeting a recruiter at a career fair on campus. I interviewed on campus. My interviewer was so sweet and asked mostly behavioral questions like, name a time when... Then I got a call back and drove down to their office and went through 5, 30 minute interviews with the team that I would be working with during my internship. They all seemed to love their job and PPG. I would highly recommend this internship. It paid well; as much as the large financial firms in the area.
- Name a time when you were given to much work and didn't meet your desired goal? Answer Question
- Declined Offer
The process involved a phone interview followed by a day-long series of interviews. Although very exhausting, it was a good experience and provided good exposure into the company structure. They were also very up front about things such as relocation, etc.
- Tell me a time when you were in a compromising position and how you handled it Answer Question
Reasons for Declining
Job was not for me.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at PPG (Pittsburgh, PA) in September 2014.
One on one interview. Mostly questions about leadership and management style. A lot of behavioral questions. The interview felt more like a conversation than an interview as the interviewer was engaged and contributed.
- Name a time where you had to be stern with a coworker Answer Question

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PPG (Pittsburgh, PA).
Came to my University looking for young, educated, smart individuals. Had a one hour intereview. Questions were mostly about what you know of the company as well of behaviorial questions. After the college interview I went to headquarters and intereviewd with three professionals. The questions were relatively the same. I had some questions asked about my background and my role in the community.
- What would be one thing you would do in order to improve success of PPG while working here? How would you handle a situation in which you were unhappy with something your manager or boss had done? Answer Question

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at PPG (Pittsburgh, PA) in August 2014.
Easy...a recruiter contacted me and scheduled a month in advance. I put it on my calendar and prepared accordingly...researching the company and reviewing my resume. I went in in business attire and had two people interview me separately. I then received a tour of the facility and they said they would be back to me in a few days.
- Not any more difficult than other interviews I have been in. They asked me about my background and how I would place amongst other chemists. Answer Question

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at PPG (Springdale, PA) in May 2014.
Interview was initiated by my recruiter and was setup for the following week. Interview began with possible supervisor with questions about my resume. Many bullet points of each of previous careers were discussed and leadership experience was discussed. The interview was continued with two more supervisors that consisted of similar questions and discussion. All the interviewing individuals were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. The interview ended with a call back window of 2-3 weeks. An offer was extended the following day and a 3 week process followed with drug test, background check, and physical. Some of these were required by the staffing agency. Overall the experience was very positive and I would recommend this company to anyone pursuing a technical career.
- All questions were very straight forward and no unexpected questions were asked. Answer Question
