I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Paycom.

Interview Details – The initial communication was through a recruiter on LinkedIn. He was very nice at first and I though he would be a big help. He first sent in my resume and then told me when to will out the application. He then told me I would have a phone interview on Monday and would let me know Friday what time this would be. Sunday came around and he never responded so I emailed him and he said it would be in the morning and to prep the following questions: Why would you be an asset to Paycom? How are you motivated? and Describe why sales (or something of that matter). The phone interviewer was very nice but did not quite understand my resume. She asked only one of those questions (motivation). She then asked me about my education (it is clearly written on my resume that I transferred schools) and she asked multiple times if I transferred and if I had an associates degree from the first school and multiple times I said no and stated that I transferred. She also asked me Why the city Boston? I thought that none of the questions she asked me actually qualified me for the position. The interview only lasted about 15 minutes. After the interview I sent a thank you email 24 hours later, never heard from her or the recruiter only received a general email from HR. I would NOT recommend this company or going through a recruiter for them, waste of time.

I interviewed at Paycom in August 2012.

Interview Details – My initial communication with Paycom was with a recruiter who contacted me after I'd applied online. The phone interview process with the recruiter was great, and made me very excited to meet for a face to face interview with the hiring manager. I received my confirm email for the interview confirming it was early on a Monday morning.

That morning I showed up a few minutes early to the interview, and ended up waiting for over an hour for the hiring manager. She then came out to the waiting room saying that she never takes interviews on Monday mornings, and said that she'd see me the next day which is when she had me on her schedule. I showed her the email, asked if she could see me that day as scheduled b/c of my work schedule, and she sighed and acted completely inconvenienced, telling me that it would be brief.

This set a horrible tone for the interview, and throughout the entire process she treated me like the company's mistake was my fault, and that she was extremely inconvenienced. It was the most awkward, horrible interview I've ever been on. Needless to say I didn't move on to the next step of the interview process. I was very disappointed b/c of some of the great things I had heard about Paycom. I wish my experience had been better.

I applied online and interviewed at Paycom.

Interview Details – Interview was rescheduled the day of, but understood that things come up, so I rescheduled. We agree on a different time, and I arrived for an interview the following day with Nico Chiapara of the Los Angeles office. I saw Paycom's reputation manifest itself.

He kept me waiting over 30 minutes before I left. I might be entry level, but I understand professionalism, and I do not want to work for someone who does not have their act together. The fact that Nico Chiapara rescheduled then kept me waiting shows that: 1) He is unprofessional, considering I wasn't given a time frame when he would be available, and I wasn't greeted for that matter 2) He is disorganized. 3) That he has poor time management skills. I have interned at fortune 500 companies and was unimpressed, so I withdrew my application. This is a mid sized company, and I believe that this is not understandable for a company with as many resources as it does. I am a young professional and understands that these attributes are critical.

Here is the thing: I carved two days to fit around the interviews, do you think you're the only person who is busy? I am busy, and I can stick to a schedule.

I went into this knowing that this could be the case.

NOTE: Most of the positive reviews for this company are fake. In this case, unfortunately, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Paycom.

Interview Details – I applied online directly through the website. I received an email a few weeks later saying that they "decided to pursue other options for this position at this time." A few weeks after that I was contacted by the corporate recruiter on a Friday saying they had come across my resume on CareerBuilder and wanted to talk to me about Paycom. She conducted a brief screening over the phone and said that she wanted to have me meet with the Sales Manager at the nearest branch office the following Monday. She said she would email me information confirming my interview. I did not receive the email till Saturday night (which I thought was odd). I went in to interview with the sales manager. Typical sales interview questions. He said he would let me know if I make it to the next step via the Corporate Recruiter. Later that week I was emailed the same email that I had received the first time I had applied saying again that they "decided to pursue other options for this position at this time."

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Paycom.

Interview Details – I first started interviewing in the Dallas office. The manager there was great but I found out that the Bedford office was closer so I talked to the recruiter I was dealing with and he got me an interview at the Fort Worth office without any issues. The manager at the FW office was great-they were professional and very respectful of my current job. The next step after the initial interview was a phone canvas session where you need to book three appointments. I did not have any issues with this as I have experience with outbound calls. Next was my video interview with the regional manager- Paycom was once again very sensitive to my schedule making arrangements to interview me at 6PM my time, (7PM where the regional manager was). After the video chat was a ridealong which seemed to me to be strictly an opportunity for the candidate to see if the company was a good fit for them. The sales rep I shadowed did very well and had excellent delivery.

Unfortunately at this point I decided to pursue a job in a different region of the country so the interview process stopped here for me. I would recommend looking into Paycom for anybody looking to excel in their sales career. I could not be any more impressed with the three managers I dealt with.

Interview Details – I got a phone call from the recruiter after I applied online and asked me a few questions then set up a meeting with the Sales Manager. He was uninviting and unprofessional from the start. He had a stack of resumes so it seemed like he was interviewing many people. His negative attitude of not wanting to be there in the interview and his pride was the biggest turn off. I felt like I was being attacked as opposed to trying to find out about the my qualifications. The position has been open for a very long time and is still open after I interviewed a while ago and with those stacks of resumes I can't imagine them all being unqualified, his negative mindset of not finding the right person to fill the position will produce that result, and he should know that in sales. I left upset and unheard and insulted.

I applied through a recruiter - interviewed at Paycom in April 2013.

Interview Details – This had to be the most unprofessional interview I have ever encountered. The manager was about 10 minutes late, it lasted all of 10 minutes, and not only did he not ask me any questions about my background, but whenever he did decide to speak up he wouldn't even look me in the eye. He said he did have a concern that I was coming from Pharmaceutical Sales and the sales are different, but sir...look at my resume, I clearly had the experience in transactional sales, way more than my 2 years in pharma. I closed for the next steps at the end of the interview and his response was, "its too early to tell" but got received a rejection email the next morning. I would have declined the offer, anyway.
