If you feel like the base salary is too good to be true… that’s because it is. I went to this interview, seemed like a shell of an office with not many people at all, just a big empty space. It was dull and depressing... You only need a 2.5gpa to get this job… if your desperate go for it.

This begins with a first round screening of the office manager. Then you will cold call for them for 4 hours if the manager likes you. If you set about 3 appointments, they will let you interview with the Chief Operator of Sales. From there, if you pass that interview, you will have a bunch of background checks run on you.

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Paycom in March 2012.

    Interview Details

Paycom offers a very thorough interview process consisting of 4 parts: sales manager, regional vp, phone canvassing session and chief sales officer. The process as a whole is challenging, however it is indicative of the culture of the office and nature of the business. The sales manager I interviewed with was extremely engaging and helpful throughout the entire interview process. We kept consistent communication and he coached me appropriately. I also kept in close contact with the HR representative in Oklahoma City who provided me with the necessary paper work and scripts for the interviews. I would recommend Paycom to all applicants who are serious about B2B sales and willing to put in the necessary work to be successful in their careers.

    Account Manager Interview

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Paycom in March 2012.

    Interview Details

I was approached by a recruiter who found me on LinkedIn and had several conversations with him and submitted an online application directly to the Charlotte office. When invited to the office, I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled interview time (which I showed up 15 minutes early for) before asking someone what was going on. I was brought to the hiring manager's office where she told me she forgot, apologized, but then given a rushed 5 minute Q&A session and told I'd be contacted in a couple days. I told them not to waste their time.

The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Paycom in February 2012.

    Interview Details

Received a call from a recruiter who looked at my resume and asked me if I was interested in the job. Went in for the first interview with the Sales Manager. Interview went well, lots of questions surrounding sales and the motivation behind sales. Make sure you know the STAR format. Went in for another interview with the Regional Sales Manager a week later. Similar questions and very short. I went in a few days later to make some calls (all cold calls), to see if I would like the job. If you have no problem of doing cold calls all day, then this is the job for you. Pay/Training is supposed to be very good!

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Paycom in December 2011.

    Interview Details

Let me first start off by saying that the entry level outside sales position with Paycom is one of the most lucrative offers I found in the market in terms of starting salary, benefits and professional development. With that being said, the interview process was extensive and very challenging. The recruiter was very honest about what I could expect to earn and receive from the opening as well as what the companies expectations are for those who receive an offer for the outside sales position. There were multiple steps and I felt that the managers I interviewed with were really doing their best to understand what I could bring to Paycom and whether or not that is what they needed to continue Paycom’s success. There were 5 different steps to the process. 1. Phone screen with recruiter. 2. Interview with sales manager. 3. Interview with regional VP. 4. Cold calling session. 5. Final interview with Chief Sales Officer. This was not an easy process but definitely worth it. I received an offer that included a 45k base (7k more than any other offer I received), $1 health insurance coverage for myself, and uncapped commission structure. Overall, this has been the most challenging professional experience I have ever had. If you are driven and have specific goals you want to achieve, Paycom can help you get there. I really feel I am on the fast track to the career I have always wanted!

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Paycom in September 2011.

Interview process is tough. Its a five step interview process and you need to be at your best every step of the way. Starts with a phone screen, then sales manager interview, followed by an interview with the regional manager. Next comes the toughest part which is the phone canvassing session where you need to set three appointments. Last step is an interview with an executive member of the company.

I applied online. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Paycom in August 2011.

    Interview Details

I applied online for a new client setup postition and was called by a recruiter a few days later. I answered some general behavioral questions and took a few assessments. After the assessments came in, they told me I would be a better fit for Paycom Specialist. I was excited to hear about the fast growth and pay increases, so I agreed to interview. I came in and took another assessment prior to my interview. I had the chance to speak to a supervisor and manager in the department and was offered on the spot.
