Fashion Designer Interview

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Perry Ellis International in January 2013.

Interview Details – applied online was called by HR coordinator about 2 weeks later and had to schedule a phone interview with her. That was 2 days later and she asked me about my past work experiences and what I was looking for and my salary requirements. She was very kind and professional. She told me about the position and who i would report to. I meet with the creative director the next week. She was amazing. We had a good hour long meeting. She gave me a project. I came back and meet with design director and CEO and presented my project to all. I then had to come back meet with SVP and go back another day to meet the CFO and well the process took a good month with 6 interviews in total.

Interview Question – Are you able to take this brand forward? Can you deal with constant change with line direction and within company?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I was called a few days after with an offer over the phone. They told me my salary and my package. There was no negotiating. They dont have much of an onboard system. You pretty much have a one day seminar about the owner and his family and the history and how to use the company software and its so long and boring and pointless to most people. Then you are thrown into the den of wolves.
