Field Marketer Interview

Field Marketer
Woodbridge, NJ

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in January 2014.

Interview Details – The initial phone call can be a bit complicated. It's hard for both of you to get in contact with each other at first unless you're phone is constantly with you. At first it's a phone interview, then you'd meet the hiring manager. You fill out a few forms regarding who you are, then you'll be asked a few simple questions you'd expect at any interview. The manager will explain just about every detail in the job, you'll respond, ask questions (if need be), and talk a bit more about yourself, and where you'd like to see yourself in the company. Everything is explained, and I mean everything. It's unlike any other interview I've been a part of.

I applied through college or university and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in April 2012.

Interview Details – The interview is all about informing you about the position. You will learn about the hours, the compensation and the company culture. Basically you get to find out whether Power Home Remodeling Group is the right fit for you. As long as you project yourself as a competent person who has a college degree, you should be able to get an offer. That being said if you do not fit in with the company I recommend you do not accept. But there is no reason not to at least give it a test run.

Field Marketer Interview

Field Marketer
Cranford, NJ

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in May 2013.

Interview Details – I heard about a position at Power through a family friend. My process began with a phone interview followed by a formal interview at the Cranford office. Although I was nervous going in for the formal interview the office environment and the office managers attitude made me feel a lot more comfortable. The questions took some thought and were open-ended for the most part.

Interview Question – Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I recommend others to definitely take the offer and see how they like the job because the opportunity to make a lot of money is right in front of you.

I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in May 2012.

Interview Details – Lied about the hours. Lied about the advancement opportunities. Claimed that it is typically a 3-interview process, but offers the job after the 1st interview to make you feel special (you're not). All they really want to ask is "Do you have a pulse?"... "Do you have a criminal record?"... and "Can you walk for extensive hours throughout a day?"... Those are the only questions that matter.

Interview Question – How well can you handle rejection?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. $26k base and bonuses are relatively scarce.

I applied through an employee referral and the process took a day - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in May 2010.

Interview Details – The hiring process is pretty much a joke, you go in they act like you have competition at the postion during hiring and then they say " I don't always do this but i'm going to offer you the position right now" It was done for everyone that i worked with and the reason it's done is because they hire as many people as possible to put in the field, pay you in a way so that everyone can but won't make the bonuses that they tell you in the interview will allow you to make the type of money they say you'll make, If your above average at the job of course you'll make good money but it's not the way they say in the interview. While there they changed the pay structure on the way we get paid a few times to benefit the company and make it harder for us to make good money. By hiring everyone that applies the company can make money off more people without having to pay the type of money you'd expect for the hours and work you put in

Interview Question – There weren't any hard questions, its the easiest "interview' you'll ever go on   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. They tell you you won't be working 12 hours a day...but you will. They will make you feel like your not part of the team if you don't attend every training session. Even if your doing well your told that your setting a bad example. I worked from 9 to 9 everyday and then had 2 hours of travel time a day so that's a long day for anyone

I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Power Home Remodeling Group in April 2011.

Interview Details – Applied online and was contacted shortly about coming in for an interview. After watching a brief video the HR guy came in and we went over my resume briefly and talked about what I wanted in a career. I think he just wanted to make sure I was competent. After that the marketing manager came in and he basically sold me on the job. He asked if I had any questions then offered me the job.

Interview Question – Nothing difficult, very easy/typical interview questions; skills/weaknesses, why do you want this job, etc.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation, set terms
