Application Details

I interviewed through college or university. The process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Procter & Gamble in March 2012.

Interview Details

Applied through Alum Career Connector. Scheduled an on campus interview. Interview was behavioral and also focused on company culture. The recruiter was very nice but lacking genuine interest in the conversation. By the end of the interview, I felt like I was not going to fit in well with other employees. One month after the interview, I received a rejection letter.

Mock Interview with P&G employee: Walk through Resume and then ask me " Tell me a time when..." questions. Lots of Follow-up questions, which are almost equal to another independent questions. 30 mins. As long as you have enough experience, it should be easy. Otherwise, no way to make up answers.

I interviewed through college or university. The process took a day - interviewed at Procter & Gamble in January 2008.

    Interview Details

I applied on campus and the recruitment process consisted of four 1-on-1 interviews with senior managers from different functions (CMK, Sales or CBD, Marketing and Finance). No technical questions (i.e. marketing related) were asked, the entire interview consisted of behavioural questions. P&G looks to evaluate demonstrated competence across business situations. Sample questions:
    1) Describe a situation when you had to lead a diverse team and how you did it.
    2) Describe a situation when you disagreed with your boss/manager and what you did.
    3) Give me an instance where you displayed leadership
    4) Describe a situation where you disagreed with a team/your boss and you were able to convince them to your point of view.
Many examples of such questions can be found online.

Each interviewer tends to ask similar questions and constantly writes down their observations on a sheet of paper. I think this sheet is handed down to subsequent interviewers. Sometimes, the interviewers may not even look at you and seem neutral to your answers; the key is to be consistent in your answers and try to link them to your resume.

I interviewed online. The process took 2 months - interviewed at Procter & Gamble in April 2011.

    It is LONG!
For any given position, you go through two interviews, one with an HR Manager and another with the direct manager who you will be reporting to, if you get the job. Halfway through the interviewing process, they might, as in my case, decide they want to admit you to another position where they see you might fit in more. If that is the case, you go through another pair of interviews. So all in all, there was the first online test, the reasoning test, 4 interviews (for 2 different departments) and, if you pass all that, you get a final interview with the HR regional manager. They might give you the job offer in that last interview or they might as you to come back in another day if all goes well.

I interviewed online. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Procter & Gamble in November 2010.

    Interview Details

    1) I applied online
    2) I had to do a personality test online
    3) I was invited to a phone interview - typical questions like "Tell me about a situation in which you demonstrated your leadership ability" "team work" "risk taking" "solve conflict" "communication" etc. They are quite standard
    4) I was invited one week later to a panel interview (3 people interviewing me) with a whole bunch of questions like the ones on the phone (skill example)
    5) I was told that I passed the interview the very same day via telephone
    6) I got the offer in 4 day time

NOTE: Between phase 2 and 3 you usually have to sit an IQ test at P&G site. I did not have to because I had already passed one for a previous application

It was in a job fair. I had applied through the interenet cause they only accept internet applications and in the job fair after having done the 2 steps. Resume and Assesment & Skills test.. i was lightly interviewd by a recruiter. The people are very nice but they are very critical in what they are looking for. You have to be prepared. I am still in teh process, but what helped me was my knowledge of the company and the field.
