A recruiter emailed me. She told me to apply, do a couple of assessments and depending on the results we would schedule a phone interview. After the phone interview depending on the answers we would then set up an actual face to face interview.

online test, phone interview, in person interview. Did not find it that hard. The process was very slow. The biggest pain was the back ground check since I had so many summer jobs. The interviews were pretty long, usually lasting an hour to two hours

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Progressive Insurance in February 2015.

    Interview Details

    Step 1: applied online
Step 2: Emailed to take the online assessment
Step 3: Emailed to set up phone interview
    Step 4: Phone Interview
Step 5: In-Person interview is next but I will be updated by the end of the week on my status

I can definitely say that this was one of the best interview experiences I have had. The person I talked to was very personable and made it feel like we were having more of a conversation between 2 friends about my past experiences. They set the expectation for how the interview process is going to go as soon as you answer the phone. You already know that the interview style is going to be target selection based after you schedule your phone interview and that you need to use the STAR method to answer your questions efficiently. I process was very easy and painless. I was initially very nervous going into the interview, but at the end I was extremely confident in the connection I made with the recruiter. She told me that she had a few other ppl she had to interview but she will be back in contact with me on Friday to let me know my status so we could schedule an in person interview. I hope that means I will get it. I will update this when I get my answer.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Progressive Insurance.

    Interview Details

Recently separated from the military and was looking for a job that was within my field. A Progressive service center had opened here less than 6 months ago and I had a casual conversation with a progressive employee and he told me sometime in December (2014) they would be hiring. A position opened up for Auto Damage Estimator, I applied December 6th. The 16th I received the link for the online assessment, nothing hard very basic questions. The next day I received the e-mail stating that I had passed. The 22nd I received the e-mail with the link to schedule the phone interview. I scheduled the interview for the 24th. The phone interview was conducted in STAR format. The interview was a great person that really put me at ease, felt more like a conversation than an interview. Before the call was over he told me that I made it to the final round, the in-person interview. I received an e-mail for my background check with Hireright. Hire Right is not to bad so don't worry. I sent the recruited an e-mail on January 2nd asking if they had the interviews scheduled. My interview was the 15th at a my local service center. I was interviewed by 2 managers again in STAR format. There are no secrets to nailing the interview just practice the STAR format and research the organization. I walked out of there feeling really confident. The very next day (less than 24hrs later) I received a call from the recruiter saying that the interview went great and in fact they would like to offer me a different position! He sent me another e-mail to check my driving history. The following Monday he called with the formal offer. He told me I could start 2 weeks later on the 2nd of February.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Progressive Insurance in February 2015.

    Interview Details

I applied online on February 19th. I was emailed a pre-employment assessment the next day, which I had five business days to complete. I completed it on the 23rd. The assessment took about 45 minutes to complete. It's just a basic assessment of skills and your personality. I was then emailed about setting up a phone interview the next day, and to look out for a phone call coming my way. I spoke with the Progressive representative and set up a phone interview with a recruiter for that Friday. The phone interview lasted roughly 30 minutes. They use the STAR method when interviewing, as most places do. The questions were customer service-based and were fairly straight forward. After the interview was complete, the recruiter told me that I would be moving forward in the interview process. We set up a time for a face-to-face interview the following Wednesday. The recruiter I interviewed with was incredibly kind and very helpful! It was a great experience. I received a confirmation email with more details regarding the face-to-face interview (address, etc) and also an email with directions on proceeding with a background check. The background check takes a few days to fully complete/pass, so they like to get a jump-start on the process. The f2f interview lasted around 40 minutes. The woman I interviewed with was very kind, just as the recruiter had been. In both situations, the interview seemed more of a conversation I would have with a colleague rather than an interview. It was refreshing and reassuring! After the interview, I was told I would hear back within the next few days or a week. I got a call the next day saying I was being offered the position! I can't wait to start my new career with an amazing company!

I applied online. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Progressive Insurance in January 2015.

    Interview Details

I applied on 12/4 through the website. About two days later they sent me an invitation to do the assessment. Completed that the same day and then the following week I got an email to set a phone interview time. (let me just say the entire process is VERY thorough and long lol) but anyway, I want to say the phone interview was the same week. I passed that. The recruiter was very nice, she even gave me tips on my resume and briefed me about how the onsite interview would go. I got an email the following Monday requesting a background check--I submitted my info for it. By Friday I was called to schedule an on-site interview which didn't take place until this month. (hence the longevity I spoke of earlier)

The onsite interview lasted about 1 1/2 hours. I met with two separate managers. The 1st one was soooo nice and interactive. Every response I gave her came with positive feedback from her. Then I went in and listened to a few calls w/a rep on the floor. Another manager came to get me. She was okay. Not mean, not too nice though. I had already asked all the questions I had to the 1st lady so the 2nd one asked and I told her I didn't have any questions so she got straight to it. I was a little intimidated since she wasn't AS social/friendly as the 1st one but again she wasn't bad either.

Alright so a week later I got a call from the hiring manager offering me the position. I had to chose a different schedule then what I originally signed for but I like the 2nd schedule even more :)

**Long process, understandable though--they really try to find the best possible candidate. Out of all job interviews I've ever been on this was the hardest in sense of questioning--but definitely not something you cant accomplish if you DO YOUR RESEARCH!(Star questions, about 12 total)**

Very detailed process, Progressive really cares to hire the best employees for the job. Though the hiring process is quite long, it has been very enjoyable & gives the opportunity to gain more insight on the company and overall position your interviewing for. First, is an online assessment, if you pass you'll pass on to the phone interview. During the phone interview you will be asked standard interview questions about past work, education, experience, etc. then you will be asked behavioral questions in which you will be expected to answer in the S.T.A.R method (situation, task, action, result. If you pass the phone interview your information will be passed on to another recruiter schedule your in person interview, at this stage you may also receive a email from a company by the name of Hire Right to conduct a through background check. The in person interview will be with two separte managers who will ask many S.T.A.R formate questions back to back. You will also have the opportunity to shadow a representative to experience what you job with actually be like. This interview lasted 2 1/2hours but was very enjoyable, both the managers that interviewed me where very nice, & make me feel at ease. After four days I was contacted back by the recruiter offering me the job, and of course I accepted.
