Forensic Accounting Interview (Neutral Experience)
Interviewed at PwC
Interview Details – Applied through school jobs portal. Was emailed that I had been accepted and had a 1-on-1 interview scheduled on campus. Campus interview went well and was invited to attend a Superday at their Manhattan office. Interviewed by two senior associates, one focused on behavioral questions while the other asked about a case study that was provided the night before the Superday. Lastly interviewed by partner, mostly behavioral, then was taken to lunch by junior associates.
Interview Question – The case study they gave to us candidates was the trickiest part of the whole interview process. Candidates only had a night to prepare and we were asked to prepare a presentation on our findings during the Superday and it was a pretty complex forensic accounting problem. They told us it was the first time they tried something like it and it tripped me up. Answer Question

Very Difficult Interview
Accounting Department Interview (Negative Experience; Very Difficult Interview)
I applied in-person and the process took 3 days - interviewed at PwC in June 2008.
Interview Details – Had the interview CONFIRMED, specifically stated that I would be on my lunch HOUR. Arrived 10 minutes early, no one could find the person for about 20 minutes [that's 30 minutes into my lunch hour] ... finally found her, it took her another 15 minutes to find a place for me to take the test [45 minutes into my lunch hour] then proceeds to state that the test will take about 45 minutes!!!
Started the test ... the equipment wasn't working properly, had to find another ... found one [60 minutes ... my lunch HOUR gone!!!]
Twenty minutes into the test ... I stopped, thanked them and left. And yes, I ended up taking a 2 hour [waste-of-my-time] lunch and never even got to eat anything.
Interview Question – N/A. The initial interview went well or I would not have gone back for a follow-up Answer Question
Accountant Interview (Neutral Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 days - interviewed at PwC in September 2009.
Interview Details – Employee contacted me and I sent my resume including my college transcripts. Phone interview followed. Basic questions about the company. The interviewer gave more of a description about the job. Was called in for a 1 on 1 interview after. Met with a few managers.
Interview Question – Describe a problem you faced and how did you sollve it? Answer Question
Accountant Interview (Positive Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at PwC in November 2008.
Interview Details – Overall, the experience you get with PwC is going to be very professional, which reflects upon their culture. Nice people, but not particularly warm. I interned there over the summer, and did not enjoy my engagement team. I am actually very torn between Deloitte and PwC as one has better culture and the later has a larger client base in New York (and the Mid town location is not bad either)
They definitely ask you a lot of questions that are related to the current economic trends just to see if you have been keeping up. Comparing to other firms, their interview questions focused less on the behavioral questions.
Interview Question – What do you think caused today's economic meltdown? Do you think stricter regulation will prevent that? Answer Question
Finance Accounting & Operations Assistant Consultant Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
