    Contracts Manager Americas Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Radnor, PA

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5+ monthsinterviewed at Qlik (Radnor, PA) in July 2015.

    Interview

Beware this place. They advertise full time but it is actually temp to perm. Applied in March. First heard back for a phone interview on June 1st. Interview was over the phone where the woman spent 5 minutes talking to me and said "you're skills are a perfect fit, let me see if we can get you in this week for a face-to-face." Four weeks later, on July 3rd I got an email back to see if I could do another phone screen on July 13th with the hiring manager. The interview should have begun at 10; she actually called me at 1020 because she was "busy." She talked about herself and the job for 10 minutes and asked me why I thought I was a good fit. Then she told me she always hired contractors and if they worked out they were offered a full-time position. I said are you saying this is a temp to perm job. And she said "yes, I know you have a full time position now so you'd have to think about leaving that to come here." Then she asked me to take "a considerable pay cut." And with that I stopped the interview. It's disingenuous for this company to advertise for a full time position that is really a temp to perm - I never would have applied if I had known that at the beginning.

    Technical Writer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Newton, MA
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Qlik (Newton, MA) in June 2015.

    Interview

I obtained the e-mail address of an actual recruiter from a current employee. (My web-based submission of my resume got no response.) The recruiter mailed me back 17 questions to answer via e-mail. I did my best to answer two salary-related questions, one of which I found offensive. Having already asked me what my salary expectations were (fair enough), they also wanted to know what my current salary was. That's private, and I disclose it only to the tax people and my bank. I did my best to give them an idea of my current salary--I gave them a range--but the recruiter demanded to know my exact salary. When I asked to know what salary they were offering, the response was a curt: "You need not know our compensation structure to tell me what are earning." I'm not keen on employers that tell me what I need--although admittedly I was already turned off by their absolute insistence on knowing my current salary.

    Named Account Manager (NAM) Interview

Anonymous Employee in Redwood City, CA
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 daysinterviewed at Qlik (Redwood City, CA) in March 2014.

    Interview

Interviewed with HR as a first step. That session went really well and I was moved on to the hiring manager. The hiring manager was late by 15 minutes and then rescheduled twice that day . The process was delayed by 2 hours. Once the interview started, it was very clear to me he had the wrong resume. The interview ended 30 minutes later. Clearly he was looking for a person from a competitor.

    Product Marketing Manager Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeksinterviewed at Qlik (Newton, MA) in June 2012.

    Interview

I received an email from the hiring manager directly. Quick phone call was set up the following day. The conversation over the phone had few questions about my resume, reason for leaving the current employer and availability. I was then called on-site where I interviewed with three members of the team and hiring manager himself. At this point, I should have got their decision but they had me talk to several other members in Europe. I provided references including the existing employer, writing samples and completed a mini-project for them. When I completed all the deliverables at my end, they kept me on a hold for a long time. I had another offer and had to know the decision. They could have been much more organized and direct in the hiring process.

    Interview

Nice interview with business related questions rather than behavioral ones. The discussion was much more focused on business than on past experience, though of course past experience was an illustration of some points in the discussion.

    Interview

The energy was quite quiet, but they are big on corporate culture. I was very impressed on how kind and informative the staff were while I was waiting. They seem to want people that understand the role of the generating sales leads. It looked quite repetitive (the job), but they give you really good chairs. Ergonomically designed for your posture. So I assume lots of sitting infront of the cpu and phone. Nothing wrong with that though.

    Business Development Representative Interview

Anonymous Employee in Vancouver, BC (Canada)

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Qlik (Vancouver, BC (Canada)) in April 2014.

    Interview

Very Swedish (according to them), multiple interviews, 3-4 asking you the same questions over and over and then they meet and discuss what they thought of you. Pro to this is that they may give you tips on what you did good and what to improve on in the next interview. Con, you have no idea what they think of you and how good your chances are of moving forward with the company till they call you and give you an offer.
