Sales Associate Interview

Sales Associate
Daly City, CA

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at RadioShack in July 2014.

Interview Details – Applied online, got a call within a few days to set up an in person interview. The interviewer was really nice and laidback. Questions were normal sales questions, ex. How would you sell something, How would you approach a customer that can't make a decision, Describe a time you had to deal with a difficult customer.

Interview Question – Just make sure you do your research on common interview questions and you'll be good   Answer Question

Interview Details – Online test required with various basic math, and word problems, as well as test over personality and work place related questions. The test relating word problems and basic math questions was timed and had ten minutes to complete whereas the other test was much longer and had several pages of personality and workplace interaction questions.

Interview Question – The most difficult questions within the tests where the math number sequence questions. It was also stressful due to the timed nature of this test portion.   Answer Question

Sales Associate - Part Time Interview

Sales Associate - Part Time
Las Vegas, NV

I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at RadioShack.

Interview Details – My first interview was amazing! He kept me on my toes. It was all Q&A. He asked questions of what if. How well do I adapt to others how do I work with them. He ask me how do I work with certain areas in the store what might I have troubles with? He wanted to know how I was outside of work, What am I mainly about? Even taught me how to push warranties which really helps me now! I felt very welcomed like I got the job. I did have one interview with the manager, and if the manager feels I was good enough he passes you to district for a phone interview.

I applied in-person - interviewed at RadioShack in June 2010.

Interview Details – The interview went well. I wasn't happy about the salary and the seven day work schedule so I wasn't interested in their offer. Due to having a interview with a company that works five day week I chose to interview with them

Part Time Sales Associate Interview

Part Time Sales Associate

I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at RadioShack.

Interview Details – You must submit a questionnaire through an online portal. The managers take this far too seriously and will not interview you with a good score. There is also an option to add a Resume. Do it. Plenty of the applicants don't, and the few that do stand out.

No drug test, but you will sign a paper authorizing one. There's a good chance your manager does coke anyway.

Interview Question – You will be asked questions generated from a pool that the manager has to ask you, as well as a few of their own.

If you know anything about Transistors, circuit diagrams, wiring, or anything to do with electronics, they don't care. They will want to know what you know about cellphones.

One question they always ask is if you own a cellphone, and if so, How would you sell your cellphone to someone?

Make up stuff like "well it has a 8.0 mega pixel camera so you can take nice pictures with it". Name a feature, and describe how it's useful. Your technical explanations will fall on deaf ears, as your customer base is the dumbest bunch of mouth breathers you will ever meet, who don't know what Amazon is.

Project Manager Interview

Project Manager
Fort Worth, TX

I applied online and interviewed at RadioShack.

Interview Details – The hiring process went well until they leave you hanging if you don't fit what they're looking for.

Went through the normal interview process. Phone interview then went for a in person group interview. 2 weeks later, no email or call... That's fine if they feel that I don't fit what they're looking for *personally I disagree* but have the decency to follow up and send a quick email saying they moved on? I'm sure they have a template they can shoot if they are that "busy" and I know it's the same if you don't get a email/phone call back *you didn't get it* but that's just plain rude. Funny how the HR lady said they have southern hospitality at RS but guess that went out the door since they can't even have the courtesy to email me back.

I would not recommend this Company for furthering their career. Terrible!!

Interview Question – The questions they asked was the normal stuff. What you did at your previous role, etc.   Answer Question

District Manager Interview

District Manager

I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at RadioShack in October 2013.

Interview Details – The interview started off with a very energized member of Human Resources going over the details of the company with me. Financials, Job expectations, the role and job description. Then a few situational based questions along with questions about what my pet peeves are, when I approach a store what am I looking for or at and etc. The HR rep did a LOT of talking and according to her its done in order to "pre-answer" any questions that I might have.

Interview Question – There werent any difficult or unexpected questions that I was asked. Be ready to discuss a little bit about P&L statements and how to tackle a store thats underperforming, what might you do to pick it back up.   Answer Question
