Interview Details –
Initial phone screen by recruiter, phone interview with hiring manager. On-site interviews took half a day with manager and members of team. Most of it was technical, and discussing past experiences. All team members were frank about answering questions.
I believe anyone who has worked in chip development would feel at ease handling the interview process. Nothing complicated.
Interview Question – How would you do verification for a project? View Answer
Negotiation Details – Can definitely go for higher numbers in your range. Stock compensation is not worth a lot. So make it up with cash compensation.

Interview Details –
Mine was a campus hire. Since Rambus mostly works on SerDes and High Speed IOs expect question on these areas. Digital Flip Flop, Set-up and Hold Time concepts should be very clear. Lot of Custom Digital stuff happens here.
PLL, Clock and Data Recovery circuits.
Challenges of lower Technology Node - 45nm,28nm etc.
