    Interview

First interview was a phone interview with an HR employee who asked typical interview questions, "what would you do in this situation?", "How would you handle this?". 2nd interview was a face to face interview with direct manager. This was less of an interview and more of a rundown of the job, assignments, responsibilities, etc. 3rd and final interview was with direct managers supervisor over the phone. His questions where limited asking if I could handle specific aspects of the job.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Redbox (Atlanta, GA) in April 2012.

    Interview

I was contacted by phone from the District Manager a few days after submitting my resume for the posted position. An interview was scheduled to take place at a casual public eatery. Since my Regional manager was on vacation, the District Manager also conducted the interview. The Manager was easy going, and he felt very approachable. After I was offered the position, the hiring process took some time. Expect 2 weeks from the time of the offer before you get to start your first day of employment.

    Interview Questions

    • Be prepared to discribe your ability of good organization and have an example of how capable your are for attention to detail.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

There really wasn't a negotiation, the amount verbally offered during the interview was not the amount I was hired at. I started at .50 cents less than verbally offered, since I was unemployed, I stil excepted.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Redbox (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) in October 2011.

    Interview

As a contractor, the interview process is much less rigorous than it is for employees. Generally you will have a phone interview with a manager, then have a group interview with your team, then possibly an additional face to face with your manager.

You may be asked a tricky scenario that you will have to analyze on the spot using a white board. It may be technical or non-technical to demonstrate your analytical skills.

    Interview Questions

    • Really nothing too unexpected. Primarily they are looking to make sure you fit in with the culture of the team. If they are command and control team they want a very structured person, if the team is more dynamic they are looking for someone that can be autonomous and deal with a more unstructured team. You will need to feel out the team to see if it's a good fit for you.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I worked thru a sub-contractor. I was able to negotiate a few more dollars regarding my hourly rate than what was initially presented.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ monthsinterviewed at Redbox (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) in December 2010.

    Interview

My initial contact with HR was a phone screen in late November of 2010. My interview was scheduled for December 27th, and afterward I did not receive any further notification until the beginning of March. I had e-mailed a supervisor in the Machine Support department, but they said everything was in the hands of HR and I had to wait. I received a letter stating my start date would be March 14th, but then I received a call from HR saying that date was moved to March 21st.

    Interview Questions

    • The interview questions were directed more towards my technical experience and any difficult issues I had faced with customers. They weren't particularly difficult or extremely technical.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I was unable to negotiate. The starting pay for this position is the same for each applicant.
