Initial communication involved talking to a rolls Royce representative at a career fair. I got a calk about a month later asking me to come out for an in person interview. Interview consisted of personal and technical sections. Overall, very fair questions were asked and procedure was as expected. Response from company came within a month of the second interview.

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Rolls-Royce in November 2014.

I was contacted over the phone and set up a phone interview with a third party. It took them a couple different calls to finally reach me and it was hard for me to know who was calling because I was never left a message. The lady had a bit of an accent and was hard to understand at first, but was very nice and understanding. She ended up being the one to interview me and was very concise about how the interview was laid out. At the end she reviewed all of my answers in order to allow me to prepare for the next step if I was to make it on to the assessment center.

    Interview Questions
    • Didn't ask any technical questions in the initial interview ; it was all behavioral analysis questions. One question that really got me was one about their current events; "What do you think our customer's biggest issue is with us (Rolls-Royce) at this time?"   Answer Question

There was multiple questions asked at once. Know about their company. They will ask you what you know about them. Do it in STAR. 2 people in the room. One was a intern before and one was the recruiter.

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Rolls-Royce in May 2013.

    Interview Details

The interview process was good at first. Good up front communication with a real recruiter in the their HR department. Recruiter gave me good info about the company and position and its potential for growth. Phone screen was good and good communication about what would be next in the process. But once I was not selected to go further for an in-person interview it reverted back to the all to familiar impersonal rejection email. No personal call back to give feedback on how to improve.

    Interview Questions
    • Actually there weren't really any tough questions. It was much more an information exchange rather than a phone screen.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at Rolls-Royce in September 2012.

I applied to a finance internship at Rolls in fall and was contacted a few months later with an offer for an interview in the costumer support division. This was not what I was looking for but decided to accept the interview call and continue on with the application.

The interview was rather short and consisted of only behavioral questions. This included "describe a situation..." "walk me through your resume.." etc.

I felt that I had a very good interview with this HR representative and was told I would be called by one of the department managers in the upcoming weeks.

I was never called and after 3 emails and the passing of the hiring date I received an email saying I did not receive the internship at least 6 months later.

Spoke with recruiter at a university Career fair and applied online through website. Received an On-Campus interview session that was behavioral/technical. Questions focused on knowledge of course material as well as knowledge of Rolls-Royce industry. Be prepared to answer simple concept questions in addition to STAR based behavioral questions. Turned down for a site visit. They seem to want people who want to specialize in a specific area after completion of program.

I was contacted at end of August to do a phone screen with the HR department. After that, I did another phone interview with the hiring manager two weeks later. I did not hear back until late October due to hiring manager's personal issues. Overall, the experience was good but the process takes too long. They decided to move forward with an internal candidate.
