    Application

I applied online. The process took 5+ monthsinterviewed at Rolls-Royce.

    Interview

Applied online, completed online assessment. Called back about 2 months later. 1 phone interview with recruiting firm -- very structured, very behavioral. About a month later, received second round interview with employee. She mostly spoke about the specific functions of the summer intern at her plant; the interview was very conversational. Currently waiting on "3rd screening" which should be final round.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Rolls-Royce (Indianapolis, IN) in January 2015.

    Interview

I got the interview through meeting a college recruiter on my campus. The next day I had an hour long phone interview. The college recruiter was friendly and the phone interviewer was very helpful in explaining some of the questions. The next step is to be invited to an assessment day for more interviews and some critical thinking / project tests.

    Interview

Initial communication involved talking to a rolls Royce representative at a career fair. I got a calk about a month later asking me to come out for an in person interview. Interview consisted of personal and technical sections. Overall, very fair questions were asked and procedure was as expected. Response from company came within a month of the second interview.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Seattle, WA) in November 2014.

    Interview

I was contacted over the phone and set up a phone interview with a third party. It took them a couple different calls to finally reach me and it was hard for me to know who was calling because I was never left a message. The lady had a bit of an accent and was hard to understand at first, but was very nice and understanding. She ended up being the one to interview me and was very concise about how the interview was laid out. At the end she reviewed all of my answers in order to allow me to prepare for the next step if I was to make it on to the assessment center.

    Interview Questions

    • Didn't ask any technical questions in the initial interview ; it was all behavioral analysis questions. One question that really got me was one about their current events; "What do you think our customer's biggest issue is with us (Rolls-Royce) at this time?"   1 Answer

    Interview

Met at a career fair, had to take some tests, and then had an in-person interview. After that I traveled to Indianapolis and had a full day-interview at their interviewing center. Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Rolls-Royce (Richmond, VA) in May 2013.

    Interview

The interview process was good at first. Good up front communication with a real recruiter in the their HR department. Recruiter gave me good info about the company and position and its potential for growth. Phone screen was good and good communication about what would be next in the process. But once I was not selected to go further for an in-person interview it reverted back to the all to familiar impersonal rejection email. No personal call back to give feedback on how to improve.

    Interview Questions

    • Actually there weren't really any tough questions. It was much more an information exchange rather than a phone screen.   Answer Question
