No Offer – Interviewed in Portsmouth, NH Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 30, 2013
Interview Details – Interview questions were based solely on selling skills so they could figure out how well you would be able to strong arm customers into signing up for their credit card. Was told you must meet a certain number of credit apps per 1000 in sales or you would cease getting hours.

No Offer – Interviewed in Clay, NY Mar 2013 – Reviewed Apr 4, 2013
Interview Details – I applied for the cashier position online and was contacted a week later to schedule an interview. The interview was very laid back and lasted about thirty minutes, and mostly consisted of a basic overview of what would be expected of me if I got the job. She also asked me a few very specific questions about previous customer service experience, even though she had my application right in front of her and could clearly see that I have never worked a customer service job before. She told me she would call within the week to schedule another interview, but never did.

Interview Details – Was scheduled to come in for an interview, got the job. However, orientation the following day consisted of me filling out tax information and then going home. What alarmed me was, I wasn't even told what job I had, as I had filled out an application for all open positions and was never formally trained.

No Offer – Interviewed in Hoffman Estates, IL – Reviewed Nov 13, 2012
Interview Details – I applied online and was contacted for a phone interview a few days later. The phone interview went well and I was offered the opportunity to fly to Hoffman Estates for the in-person interview. We also had to complete a store visit and answer a few questions prior to the interview. There was a 2:1 HR and 2:1 Buyer Interview, retail math test, and case study. The process took 4 hours and went by fairly fast. We were also given a 30 minute tour of the facilities. The Case Study was by far the most awkward experience. They give you a department and you have to argue why you feel your department should receive funding. Meanwhile, all the people that you met with sit in a room and watch you debate and listen to other interviewees. They told us we would hear back within two weeks. I heard back within 3 days that I did not get the position. Which I was ok with. Sears is not doing well so job security was a major concern of mine. It is a great interview because if you can get through this you are more than ready for any other buying opportunities.
Interview Question – During the buyer interview I was asked what I preferred more (forecasting or financials) I said I was more comfortable with forecasting however I understand retail math and financials were the bulk of the job. The buyer that was interviewing with me basically berated me for my answer and finished the last 10 minutes of the interview talking about himself. Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in Nashua, NH Sep 2012 – Reviewed Nov 3, 2012
Interview Details – They asked a lot of "what happends if..." and "what would you do if..." questions. If you have no work experiance, this WILL BE a hard interview. It may seem like I am exagerating, but its all truth.
No Offer – Interviewed in Lake Grove, NY Sep 2012 – Reviewed Sep 14, 2012
Interview Details – The person interviewing me was very laid back, he also took more time explaining how the company worked than actually interviewing me. I was there for 3 HOURS! Interview questions were relatively simple.
