    Cashier/MCA Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 daysinterviewed at Sears (Springfield, OH) in February 2015.

    Interview

I applied online and four days later, I was called by the manager to set up an interview for the following day, which was pretty surprising due to my lack of experience and and young age. I was interviewed by the assistant manager for the first part of the interview, where I answered two scenario questions and was informed of basic information about the job. I was told what the cashier did and was also offered to work as an MCA. I then "shadowed" a cashier for ten minutes and an MCA for ten minutes, determining which one I preferred. I continued the second part of the interview where I answered two more scenario questions. At the end of the interview, the assistant manager practically told me I got the job and would be hired, starting out as a cashier and then becoming an MCA.

    Interview

Basic interview really. It isn't difficult as it is an entry level job to a retail store. They basically go through 3 different interviews. You pass the 1st and move to the 2nd and so forth. The third interview is with your store manger. 1st and 2nd are HR and Area manager.

    Interview Questions

    • There is nothing real unexpected. Be able to talk about how you handle customers and how you may have had situations in the past that would apply to the job. It really isn't hard and they just want to know you will treat people respectfully and responsibly.   Answer Question
