    Interview

    The web page is very simple and easy to scan through. They do take a while in getting back to prospects. Once they contact you its usually a quick process , drug test,background check . Normally a two day process.

    I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Severn Trent Services (Coral Springs, FL) in August 2012.

    Interview

    It was a panel interview consisting of four people. Two peers and immediate supervisor and his supervisor. Mostly the usual questions concerning my background and experience. They were particularly interested in my prior experience in the insurance industry and how that might be applicable to the position. I found this very interesting as there had been no mention of this insurance experience need in the job posting to which I replied. It struck me that there were additional aspects to the position that I needed to inquire about. This opened several lines of thinking and the potential interaction between the position and the other members of the District's support personnel.

    Interview Questions

    • Since a significant part of the position would be working with Boards of Supervisors and many of these people would have strong opinions how would I handle a board meeting if / when a Board member disagreed with my opinion or challenged my position?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

    The only item needed to be negotiated was the starting date.

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took a weekinterviewed at Severn Trent Services (Carmel, NY) in June 2011.

    Interview

    The interview process was easy and not difficult at all. Have to come to the plant, interview, take a tour of it and pass a drug test. It was not a problem at all and not anything to be nervous about at all. It isn't the most sought after job in the world so it isn't like you have a one hundred other applicants you need to beat out.

    • There was no difficult questions asked. There was only a few questions that were like "If this happens.......what would you do?" and things of that nature. Not hard at all.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

    No negotiation for me at all but I didn't come in with experience. I bet if you come in with certain water operator licenses you can negotiate more and get more money.
