    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Springleaf Finance (Saint Louis, MO) in March 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was not abnormal. After filling out an online application, I received a phone call from an employee at a branch office. During the phone call, the details of the internship were shared and an in-person interview was scheduled. The interview went very well and felt fair. Overall, the entire process was very fair and professional.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Springleaf Finance (Evansville, IN) in January 2015.

    Interview

First there was a brief phone screening with an HR specialist. Then I was invited for an on-site interview. I interviewed with a total of 6 hiring managers from 6 different teams, 2 interviewers per 30-minute session. Pretty straightforward skill set related questions.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Springleaf Finance in December 2014.

    Interview

I applied online. I was called a week later and spoke with the branch manager on the phone for about 20 minutes. The first phone call seemed to be like a screening phone call, see if I was qualified. She then proceeded to say that she would give me a call later on in the week (which ended up being about 3 days) for a face-to-face interview in the office.

The interview in the office took about an hour and was strictly questions read from a pamphlet. She took notes while I was answering the questions. There was no elaboration on any of the question, she just stuck right to what was on the paper. I was then told that I would be given a call the following week to speak with the district manager. I followed up with a thank you note, but never heard from the district manager.

Two weeks later I received an email from HR informing me about the selection of another candidate.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Springleaf Finance (Delaware, OH) in June 2014.

    Interview

Phone interview from HR first, then phone interview with Director who has the current openning. The first interview is very general, it is just a screening on your skills and experience but the second phone interview asks more specifically about how well your skills are like SAS experience, Excel experience and so on.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Springleaf Finance (Evansville, IN) in April 2013.

    Interview

Several voice mails and phone calls from an HR intern, followed by a grueling phone interview with an HR recruiter, who seemed to go out of her way to indicate I was not qualified for the job because I had no experience 'with the lending process'. Shocked to get an in-person interview at corporate HQ. When I arrived, the same HR intern couldn't find the conference room where my interview was to take place, so we walked all over the building twice! Interviewed while winded from all the walking. Got a turndown email the following day, which after this debacle was a blessing.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online – interviewed at Springleaf Finance (Lumberton, NC) in March 2013.

    Interview

I recieved a call on Wednesday and was left a message. I called the number back but it was hard catching the same person who left the message because she was always out or busy with a client, not a big deal though. On Friday I left a message and received a call back within the hour, much to my surprise the call was for an on the spot interview. The interview went well, she asked questions, I asked questions; she told me about the company and position. I will have to wait for a follow up call in order to find out if I am being considered any further.

The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Springleaf Finance in July 2011.

    Interview

The interview process started out with a 1 on 1 interview with a branch manager. The questions are pretty standard. If the branch manager believes you did well enough then he will set up another 1 on 1 interview with a district manager. The interview with the district manager asked most of the same questions. I thought i did well, but i did not receive an offer. The whole process took approx 2 to 3 weeks

I applied online. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Springleaf Finance in January 2011.

    Interview

Applied online. Within a day an HR rep had emailed me to call them to set up a phone interview. Phone interview lasts approx 30 minutes. Easy, reasonable questions. At the conclusion of our conversation I was told someone would be contacting me within a week- and if not, to contact them.

A day later I was called to set up a 1:1 Interview with the Branch Manager. Interview lasted over an hour. BM simply scrolls through pages of interview questions-- mostly situational- pretty standard. Very similar questions- a little too repetetive. Considering it was the BM interviewing me I thought it was slightly unprofessional, and a poorly conducted interview. (Hardly looked me in the eye, and was not very engaging)

Culture: There were 4 people in the office including the BM and the secretary. Seemed laid back, but not a very pleasant atmosphere. Two other employees were calling on past due accounts-- collections seems to be a large part of this job. Based on my limited observations of the two employees (finance reps) they were good, assertive salemen- type A personality.

Rec'd rejection email the following day.

    Interview

The first interview went very well. The questions were very straightforward. I was interviewed by the new branch manager and he made the situation comfortable. It was really like having a conversation aobut your skills and education.
