AGENT STAFF - TEAM MEMBER Interview

AGENT STAFF - TEAM MEMBER

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 days - interviewed at State Farm.

Interview Details – I heard of the opportunity from my new landlord, who forwarded me to her Agent for renter's insurance. I spoke with the agent, and got an application. I filled the application out online, and was asked to come in for an interview the very next day. During the interview, I was interviewed by 3 other staff members before being interviewed with the Lead Agent. Then I filled out a background check and did an aptitude test and was hired on the spot. I start next week.

Interview Question – Pretty standard questions and reviewed my background in customer service. I have experience as a game developer as well, so they were pretty happy with how technical I was.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 days - interviewed at State Farm.

Interview Details – Recruiter called about Two weeks before the interview and asked some pre-interview questions. Many of the questions just were to make sure that I knew what all went into being an agent for State Farm. Actual interview was conducted by 2 agents. Questions were by the book what I found on glass door.

Interview Question – Was asked to make a sales pitch of a ball point pen to one or the agents doing the interview.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at State Farm in March 2013.

Interview Details – Began by applying online. I was then sent two assessment test links to complete. Once completed, I was contacted by the head Agent in charge. I came into his agency for an interview, that also consisted of a computer test. I received an email stating that they wanted to conduct a panel interview after the initial interview. The panel interview consisted of STAR format questions and was very brief. Nothing too hard at all. I received a job offer over the phone the next day.

Interview Question – Very typical interview questions. Mostly STAR format questions. The most hard part was taking a timed test that consisted of random math, language, and grammar questions. It was a lot of questions in a VERY short period of time.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. Salary is set, but you do receive bonuses and commissions on top of a base salary.
