I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at State Street.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a member of the Talent Acquisition Team and they gave a brief screening and then setup an interview with me for the following week.

The interview was done by two current employees. The interview started with a brief description of what the two employees have done while at State Street. Then I was asked to go through my resume and describe everything on it. That was followed by a few situational questions. Which finally was followed by them giving me the opportunity to ask them any questions I had.

I current am waiting to hear back from the HR team on any following steps.

Overall it was a quick process but a good one to say the least.

Arrive early. It is kind of slow when you check-in. I waited more than 10 minutes in line. It is a comfortable interview. Not a lot interview questions for me. maybe left a bad impression already.

Phone interview followed by a in person interview at their offices. At the offices, the interview was 1 on 1, but with multiple people. In general everyone has a positive attitude. They ask questions, both technical and about your background. They all seem like they are highly intelligent people.

Very friendly. HR communicated with me every step of the way. Hiring managers made me feel very comfortable. They asked a lot of behavioral questions, as well as a few technical questions. They were really basic though. They asked about mutual funds, stock splits, dividends and such. Anyone who took finance courses will know the answers to these.

Fund Administrator - Associate II Interview

I applied online – interviewed at State Street.

    Interview Details

Applied online and the process took about a week and a half. Human resources contacted me and I went into their office for a face to face interview a few days later. Met with three separate people. The first person I met with just read behavioral questions off of a sheet that were all different variations of each other. Felt as though I was just repeating myself over and over and didn't really see what any of these questions had to do with the job I was applying for. The second person I met with was a little bit more relaxed. He asked a few behavioral questions but we spent most of the time talking about my experience and the position I was interviewing for. The third person I met with was the best of the three. Spent the whole time in comfortable conversation talking about position/experience/why this job would be a good fit for me - no behavioral questions.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a dayinterviewed at State Street.

    Interview Details

Only one round of interviews. Seemed as though the interview was rushed and that the decision process was a very fast process. This was different from many other firms that I have interviewed with. Timely feedback was provided.

    Fund Administrator, Associate I Interview

    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at State Street in June 2014.

    Interview Details

Applied online. Received a phone call from a recruiter about a week later. Recruiter told me about some positions that matched the resume I applied with online. I told the recruiter I was interested in two of the positions and then recruiter sent along my resume to hiring managers. Found out a week later that for both positions, the hiring mangers did not want to interview me. Almost lost hope, but emailed recruiter again and was provided a similar position to the other two, which I told recruiter I was interested in. Recruiter sent along my resume to hiring managers and got back to me same day saying the managers wanted to interview me. A few days later I was at the interview before two hiring managers. Weren't looking for too much experience but asked questions about experience on resume that was relevant and also asked several behavioral/ situational questions. Overall, the interview experience was fair and only lasted 40 mins. Best advice: Speak clearly and confidently.
