Senior Business Analyst Interview

Senior Business Analyst
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at TD Canada Trust in January 2014.

Interview Details – My experience with interviewing has been far reaching and worldwide. I have worked as a consultant for over 15 banks and terminology does not necessarily cross countries although it is getting more common. I have never worked in Canada so I think I may have been at a disadvantage as far as the common terms used in the banks here.
Also Canada is so far behind the world of working from home, and truly needs to come into the 21 century. I have had many contracts working from home very successfully. With technology the way it is - all the processes and timekeeping can be utilized to ensure work is being performed.

Interview Question – The hardest question was the one that was not asked. We started a conversation about the reconciliation points required for new payments and that lead to an interesting progression. The right question asked in the first place would have led to a smoother transfer of information.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at TD Canada Trust.

Interview Details – My friend me refer me to her colleague and TD person called me asked me to do the self-assessment online, which was time-consuming and anybody could easily lie since it was not that hard to figure out the reasons behind all the questions. Then HR person called me for a phone interview. 2 months later, another TD person called me. She had no idea that I had a phone interview before and asked me very insensitive questions such as "oh, you have been looking for a job for more than 6 months, how come you still haven't found a job?" She was very unprofessional and annoying.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at TD Canada Trust.

Interview Details – Applied online, but I was out of town for 2 weeks right after I applied. I got an email 1 week later asking if I am really interested. I guess I missed the calls because I was out of town. I replied the HR person and called her right after I was back in town. She basically asked about my background information and why TD. The call only lasted for like 10 minutes. I guess the position was filled already.

Interview Question – Nothing unexpected. Basically asking about my background information and why TD.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral - interviewed at TD Canada Trust in September 2012.

Interview Details – Went into the branch for an interview. Bypassed the phone interview as I was referred. It was your basic interview with lots of behavioral questions. The branch manager walked in mid way through the interview just to say hi, which was totally unexpected. The interview lasted 30 minutes. I was told I would be contacted in the following two weeks. They did not inform me of a decision so I emailed them and still have not herd back.

Customer Services Representative Interview

Customer Services Representative
Vaughan, ON (Canada)

I interviewed at TD Canada Trust in March 2011.

Interview Details – I first got in contact with the head recruiter of my region. He then set me up and let me know of an interview I had with a branch manager in one of the locations of my preference. When I went to the interview, I started off with one interviewee. Then a second person came in the room that didn't ask questions but observed my answers and took notes.

Interview Question – This isn't a particular question, but in my case I was caught off guard because the manager had not ever seen my resume before, so I had to walk her through it as she was skimming it.   Answer Question
