I was contacted by a recruiter, she did not seem to understand the scope of the position. When I asked what I perceived to be some pretty basic questions, she could not answer them. Frankly, it was overall very awkward.

    Director Interview

Slow, misleading, promise of on site interview dragged on for weeks and eventually never happened. Multiple calls with recruiter and business head, never a final call back from hiring mgr or recruiter. 2 mths later received computer generated email. Recruiter sold TIAA's growth track very hard. Hiring process is non-existent, or they just don't care. Not sure which it is.

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 4 days - interviewed at TIAA-CREF in March 2014.

Had a phone screen for a contract role followed by a request for a face-to-face interview. Most unexpected thing to happen was the hiring manager not showing up and having several people come to speak for them. Was not impressed.

Very brief phone screening to determine fit - less than 20 mins. I had been referred by a current employee with a good reputation at the company. The recruiter was very personable and responsive to follow-up emails about other positions.

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at TIAA-CREF.

    Interview Details

One of TIAA-CREF's HRrepresentatives reached out to be on linked-in about a possible role with the comany. I was excited at the prospect of a career change and wanted to learn more. I was then put in touch with another HR rep. to have an initaila phone interview. Unfortuantely, that rep. blew off that initial conversation and did not inform me of a need to reschedule until after I followed up. Upon rescheduling, the same issue occured again where the representative was in a meeting and would not be able to make the appointment...and not informing me unitl after the scheduled call time had past.
