    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at TJX Companies in January 2010.

    Interview

Initially I submitted a cover letter and resume, and received a first interview. That consisted of a 1:1 interview with someone in their HR Department (it went extremely well). I was invited for a second interview, which consisted of a short aptitude test to see if we had a knack for planning. Then we went on a guided tour with an employee, followed by a group discussion about the test we took. This was followed by three 1:1 interviews back to back, and finally a luncheon with about 10 HR reps and the 15 or so interviewees.

    Interview

The phone interview went very well, the HR rep was very nice and I was able to set up a date for the interview on the same call. For the interview process, there was a group of about 20 of us interviewing. At first, we had to take an allocating test which consisted of us planning on where we would hypothetically allocate types of merchandise (in my case light coats) to stores across the country. Next, we were broken up into groups and then were went through different phases of the interview process. We were given a tour of the building, next we were placed with someone who had the position we were applying for to get a feel for what they do. Then, we went through the individual interviews. I met with three people who each asked various questions regarding job experience and different case scenarios. Finally, we were brought back to a room with our group had to discuss the allocating test.

    Interview

Asked to be very thorough about past experiences and leadership skills. Also placed a lot of emphasis on your ability to demonstrate initiative and thoughtfulness. They wan to know your capabilities not your accomplishments. Be very specific and clear, do not hesitate of think things through while speaking to the recruiter. Prepare for a 45 min phone interview. After the this interview they tell you it takes about two to three weeks for them to get in touch with you.

    Interview

There was a full day interview at TJX company which was long but informative. It consisted of 2 1 on 1 interviews and then 2 group exercises where I had to allocate merchandise to specific stores that was dependent on previous years sales trends. There was an analysis on how your interactions were as a group which is important. Then the lunch time is a time to mingle with the interviewees and sell yourself. Lastly you job shadowed someone to learn about their job and you are then analyzed on wether you seemed fit for the job and your personality.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at TJX Companies (Framingham, MA) in July 2009.

    Interview

Both the phone interview and in person interview consisted of mainly behavioral questions. Both interviews lasted between 20 and 30 minutes. Culture seemed laid back with casual dress. The interview took place at the company's second office building which has a different atmosphere from their main building.

    Interview

They flew me up to Boston for the interview, put me up in a hotel and provided all transportation. The interview was broken up into two sections, before lunch we were given a tour of the campus and then we had a lunch and went into the interview process. I had 10 different separate interviews with different people. It was difficult at first but after the first two I got the hang of it and I though I did really well on the remaining interviews.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeksinterviewed at TJX Companies (Mississauga, ON (Canada)) in October 2012.

    Interview

I had applied for the position online at the end of August. I did not hear back until the beginning of September when I received a call from HR. From this point she asked some additional questions regarding my experience and background in the industry and said that she would like to move forward with a phone interview. The phone interview was set up maybe a week later and it lasted about an hour. The questions were behavioural and she asked me about my resume as expected. After waiting a few days, I was contacted and was told that they were going to move me onto the 1:1 interview in a couple of weeks. When she called she gave me feedback and some insight as to what types of questions they were going to ask. She sent me an email detailing everything and forwarded me forms to fill out. When I got to the Mississauga Office for the interview there was another candidate in the waiting room. When greeted by the HR representative, she told me that she was not going to meet with me but that I was going to sit down with another HR recruiter and a manager instead. After about an hour of q & a from both sides -being asked very similar questions as the phone interview, the recruiter advised that I should hear back from them by Friday of that week. Needless to say, I was reading other reviews here about the interview process and after not hearing back on Friday, I did not hold my breath. Despite doing the best I could and having the skills and experience required for the position I guess I was not a good fit after all. Confirmation of this came via telephone by the HR recruiter who conducted my first telephone interview. This time she was not able to give me any feedback from the 1:1 interview. She did say that I presented myself well, however they were not going to move me along through the interview process.
