    Application

I applied online – interviewed at TJX Companies.

    Interview

I applied online and got an email to set up a virtual interview that had to be done in the next 3 business days from when I got the email. the interview consisted of 9 questions. You had 30 sec to read the question and think of what you are going to say before it recorded you. It was very scary. I am still waiting to hear about the next step.

    Interview Questions

    • I was asked :
      what my career goals were
a time I made an impact
why I wanted to work for TJX
a time I had to analyze data
      what an allocation analyst does
      math question
      a time I made a difference

I applied through college or university – interviewed at TJX Companies (Boston, MA).

    Interview

I spoke with the recruiter and applied through University career link. Within a week, I got an email to complete a virtual interview within 3 business days. The 9 questions were pretty straightforward including basic questions about what the job entails, one math questions, and a couple behavioral questions. Just completed the virtual interview so I have yet to hear back.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at TJX Companies (Boston, MA) in October 2014.

    Interview

First met HR reps at a career fair and then info session on campus. The first round interview is an online one way interview where you basically just have to answer questions as they pop up on your screen while you are recorded. I disliked this part of the process. You only had two minutes to answer each question and the timer would count down on the screen. I also just thought the online video recording was just awkward because you couldn't have a fluid conversation like in an actual interview. The second round was a group case study on campus with other interviewees. You are basically just giving a study relevant to the job and have a half hour to do the assessment yourself and then a half hour to meet with the group and reach a unanimous solution while they evaluate your performance. The third round is a day spent at the headquarters that includes a job shadow and several rounds of HR interviews.

I applied through college or university – interviewed at TJX Companies (Smithfield, RI) in October 2014.

    Interview

Process was pretty drawn out. First was an online virtual interview which was basically like video taping yourself answering questions. Next interview was on campus, which was a group interview where we we asked to complete an activity in a buyer situation. The process was interesting but I think that would've been better later in the interview process. They never contacted me after that letting me know I didn't move on in the interview process.

    Interview

I applied on-campus and was offered an initial interview in a group setting. We had to discuss and present a case study in front of the recruiters. I was selected for the 2nd interview and was flown out to their headquarters. There were 3 separate interviews in one day, had lunch and a tour of the building. All of the candidates were separated into groups and we shadowed some of the employees for a bit. Overall, it seems like a nice company to work for and the recruiters are very friendly and chatty.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at TJX Companies (Marlborough, MA) in August 2014.

    Interview

Spoke with the recruiter on phone. Followed up with an on-site interview. The recruiter explained benefits and total rewards which were pretty decent. She wanted to know what I currently had for benefits , PTO time, and current salary. I then met with the hiring manager who was hard to understand and wasn't friendly. She just drilled questions at me. It wasn't very conversational. I met with other Business Analysts who were great and gave me details of what really goes on with their jobs and how they work on projects and with the team. I was still interested in the job despite the hiring manager but knowing we didn't hit it off, I didn't think I got the job. I emailed the recruiter and she got back to me in a day and told me it went to another person (I found out later she lied and they just didn't think I was a good fit)

I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at TJX Companies (Framingham, MA) in July 2014.

    Interview

Originally was reached out to by a recruiter - had phone screening with both an outsourced recruiter and then an HR executive at TJX. My in-person interviews were with numerous members of the team, plus the HR exec. I had to keep on them on where they stood with the process in the following weeks but otherwise they were responsive.

    Interview Questions

    • Many technical questions were asked of me, due to the role. Interesting that they want to know specifics but then when I asked the same questions back to them, they keep all information and vendors close to the chest.   Answer Question
