Everything is easy except the imaging test and interview process. As for the interview, the questions "sound" easy but they expect you to answer what "they" want to hear. It really depends on who is interviewing you. It might be easy for one person but difficult for another. BTW If you are a female, you have a MUCH better chance of passing it. They want to even out the male/female ratio.

Went to an airport assessment at JFK , my appointment was for 10 am , I was there early like I was instructed on my email. It was 1115 am and noone had called me. The 2 TSA agents sitting in the front desk were as ghetto as ever with the long trashy nails and all. Everyone that walked in through the door they had something to say about them , I felt like I was back in high school. The bad vibes I had from the minute I walked in through the door were horrible. Then another tsa agent walked in he was about 400 lbs he was far from professional. I come from a prior law enforcement agency ,this TSA agency is the worse.

I recently just had an interview with TSA at BNA. The whole hiring process is probably the longest process in the world. I guess that has to do a lot with it being a government job and all. Well anyway, I went up there to get my interview done and it was me and 2 other women. They sat us down asked us for the information they needed and all that good stuff, then asked which person wanted to actually do the interview first. I volunteered. I go in and its a group interview in which a panel of people ask you theses simple scenerio questions and you answer them. I thought I did pretty good because I was calm and tried to answer the questions the best of my ability. When that was done they told me to hang outside while the deliberate. I waited about 3 minutes when the lady took me back in. I sat down and they said you failed your interview. At first i thought it was a joke bc of how simple the flipping questions were and stuff. I dont know i wasted like 2 months with this process and you look at all the old heads that have the job and you wonder why you dont.

hiring process is very long and the interview is a disaster, how do they expect you to answer a question about a field that you don't have experience in.

The interview process is based on who they feel is qualified. They change qualifications from years in service to years in the position they are looking for to whatever they feel. To change qualifications so much gives a false sense of "why others were hired / promoted" Once you are interviewed the numbers are based on a curve if they do not "meet" their total promotion total. The panel review questions are all the same. Once you know them, you can get any job if you are well known. Scoring the interviews is only half of getting the job.

Communication with associates is very good. All jobs have different types of personalities that we all deal with. Once you get to know that persons personality , you get to know that person. We all fallow standard operation procedures.
Planning is another part of communication. I feel it is important that all officers, leads ,and supervisor's , managers should present their ideas and focus on our mission

    Interview Questions
    • The most technical case is the mission. What should and does need to be done. Standard operation procedures must be followed , all though some do not agree with them at times, they are still in place.
We have different levels of command and must give respect to those levels.
